How do you think Simon Garner would have gone on playing up front on his own in this team ?

I look on the bright side, it’s international week next week so they can’t ruin my weekend again for a while. It’s come to something when I look forward to us NOT playing !

That’s what separates the real players for the also rans. Decision making at speed under pressure. Getting it right. I can’t for the life of me understand why centre halves try to pull players back in and around the penalty area. Let the player go, loads of things can happen. The striker can shoot wide, hit the keeper, stumble over the ball etc etc. Pulling them back only ends one way. Even if your keeper saves the pen you’ve still got to play half the game a man down. Dumb footballers = Dumb football.

Good player. Just the sort of player we need.
