I’ll be watching it later. It’s got a 5 star review in today’s “ Guardian “. That doesn’t happen often.

I saw him a couple of times, a taller, better, Bradley Dack. He was one of the Stan Bowles, Tony Currie, Alan Hudson, Charlie George generation that were too “ unconventional “ to get more than a couple of caps. I liked to see players do things I could never do in a million years, those players never let you down. I read his autobiography a few years ago. His life will have definitely been lived to the full. -

Rhodes had an attack built around him with the sole purpose of creating chances. If he was playing up front on his own with our current line up he wouldn’t be scoring anything like as often. -

A lot quicker than Rhodes, more aggressive, more two footed as well. He could also beat a man with the ball at his feet which is more than Armstrong can do. -

Better than both of those. -
It’s jumped the shark for me Mike. It’s been great in the past but nothing is great forever.

What sort of reception did he get in the following season ? Did Dougan ever play at Ewood again after he left ? I can’t recall seeing him play again at Ewood. I remember Norman Deeley, who was involved in the incident were Dave Whelan broke his leg, getting roundly booed right from the kick off when he was playing for Leyton Orient at Ewood. I thought that was a bit harsh, it looked a pure accident to me.

France played well, Wales luck ran out at the end.

It think it’s because unless he’s jumping with an opponent 6 inches shorter he’s shit in the air. -

When will Mowbray be sacked?

I’d have had another option- next season when we’re in the bottom three. -

Vale got injured almost as soon as he arrived. I think he’s only been back a week at the most. -

I reckon if Mowbray got off the bus and then said - “ All those who fancy playing today follow me “ he wouldn’t have enough for a seven a side team. -

I was just reading a quote about the new Chelsea manager - “ Every player has to find motivation from within but it is the manager who sets the tone “. Exactly. -

I would have liked to have seen him go up against Mike Harrison in a shoot out. With the possible exception of Shearer nobody hit the ball harder in my time as a Rovers fan. -

That was the only time I took my eldest son to Ewood. He’d be about 11 and he spent the whole game just looking around the ground and hardly watched the football at all. He’s never been interested much in football. I took his younger brother to an end of season game a few seasons later and he’s been hooked ever since. We’re both trying really hard to maintain my grandson’s interest in the club but given the rubbish on display recently it’s not easy. -
Tony Mowbray Discussion
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
So he’s more or less saying to the players - “ If we lose at Norwich on Saturday by one goal it’ll be a good result and I’ll be content with that “. He’s an imposter.
