  1. Yes indeed. You can only get away with pissing in my ear and trying to tell me it's raining for so long. Even the most ardent fan has a limit.
  2. " We can see you, We can see you, We can see you sneaking out " Da Da Dah.
  3. Have you not considered it might be a bit too late by then ? I know one thing, this lot won't get us out of a relegation scrap if we get in one. You can count the fighters in the team on the fingers of one hand ( thumb doesn't count ). He couldn't keep us up before and since then he hasn't signed one player who's got a bit of fight in them. The only guys who put a foot in were already here when he came. Edit. Sorry I got that wrong. He has signed 1 player who had some fight in him out of the 30 odd he must have signed in the last four years. Ritchie Smallwood.
  4. Once every half a dozen games is nowhere near enough. It needs to be 2 or 3 times a game from both players. How did Frank Lampard score so many goals ?
  5. Yeah Bose are like Rolex. They spend massive amounts of money on advertising and promotion for what is a very good but not great product. It works though, I would part with my Sub for anything. One of the biggest financial mistakes I made was trading a couple just before prices went through the roof ! I got a very nice Omega Speedmaster and a Zenith El Primero. Possibly better watches but financially a really unwise trade. You'll never lose money buying a stainless steel sports Rolex, that's if you can find one that is.
  6. Yes, you're right regarding Travis and Rothwell. When did you last either of those run beyond the strikers ? I wouldn't want Evans up there, he couldn't hit the side of a bus with the ball.
  7. I agree. With the odd exception I can't recall us ever busting a gut. The lack of ability to score in the first half and our failure to come back from behind in games speaks volumes. However when the direction from above is chronically poor you will find that players individually and collectively down tools.
  8. If you don't get bodies in the box, and plenty of them, you'll never score,
  9. Well he got us out of the old third division once, maybe he could do it again.
  10. You can have people who go week in week out for years and still know nothing about football. It's hard to believe but it's true. It's not just Rovers fans either.
  11. This " death spiral " has been going on since before Xmas in terms of form. Without a change at the top I can't see it ending. The players seem not to be playing for him anymore, and who can blame them.
  12. 50 points weren't good enough last time. We need 3 wins at least from somewhere.
  13. A dicky bird tells me Ipswich were lining Paul Cook up if they lost today. They won.
  14. And we'd still be nowhere near the play offs.
  15. I know, I ordered a football manager four years ago and I'm still waiting ! The service is crap in Lancashire.
  16. Did all four wheels stay on ? that was a real result !
  17. Just reading a quote from Mick McCarthy - " If anybody says one of my teams is nice to play against I'd be so annoyed and insulted. The best teams are horrible to play against for whatever reason. So if anybody comes off and says " That was a nice game Mick, you are really pleasant to play ", well I might be packing it in and playing golf somewhere I think ". That's Rovers to a tee - " Nice to play against ". Just caught Mowbray's interview on Radio Lancashire - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
  18. That's what I read yesterday. 4 to 6 weeks was mentioned. I'm perplexed by the number of injuries we are getting with no obvious cause.
  19. But not far enough. I like Johnny Marr though.
  20. The way we are playing there are no easy winnable games. We couldn't even beat a team from a lower league in the FA Cup at home.
  21. Not enough people these days have actually played the game at any level beyond " jumpers for goals " on their local Rec. Even playing for a youth club side or a pub team gives you a reasonable idea of what's required to win games of football. Most of those posting haven't had that experience these days. Where I live, even before the pandemic, the number of amateur teams has fallen massively in the last 25 years. That's how they're kidded so easily.
  22. I used to know a chief exec at a Rugby League club. He told me his main role was to remove all the reasons the players gave for losing so at the end of the day the players had no more excuses.
