  1. In the covenant case I mentioned earlier, Rochdale Cricket Club, the club was in a world of debt and ASDA agreed to give them some dosh to pay off the debts and provide them with a new ground. So the cricket club agreed with the sale, the rest of the town's sports fans weren't too happy about it though.
  2. Well as my lad said " At least I didn't pay to watch it ".
  3. How did they get the Neill interview then ? Preston were away at Cardiff.
  4. Nothing on Radio Lancashire. Even Neill came on to face the music after a banging but no Mowbray.
  5. Thanks for that ! If only the first team were as successful as the rest of our teams.
  6. I can't see them sacking Mowbray if we lose today, or midweek, or next weekend. So I want us to win today.
  7. Any score up dates ?
  8. Did you ever play serious football ? Did you ever cross the white line onto the pitch wanting to lose ? I didn't.
  9. That's exactly why Nyambe will be playing - on the left wing though.
  10. I had many an happy hour watching the cricket there, I was a member for a while. I've never been once to the new club near the football stadium.
  11. The old Rochdale Cricket Club at Dane Street in the centre of town had a similar order placed on it. It was given to the club and the town years ago on the understanding that it would always be used for sporting events. Of course it was in a prime location. There's an ASDA and a Curry's on it now.
  12. Those with long memories will remember when players were injured on account of it costing too much to play them. The Bank Manager had final say on who played then. Are we back in that boat ?
  13. You, or anyone else for that matter, couldn't pick a Rovers starting eleven I couldn't find several problems with. Not your fault, we've signed some real dross over the last few years. Could I pick a better team ? Probably not because these are the cards that Mowbray has dealt us. What's the lad from City done to get a game ? I wonder how he'll go on against Murray ? Dolan is better coming off the bench in my opinion. Elliot is better on the wing. Brereton seems to have regressed back to the nonentity we signed originally. I can't paint a picture were we get anything today, much as I'd like to be able to. Forest are on a par with QPR and Barnsley but both of those were too good for us. Two pretty average teams. One organised, one not. That usually only ends one way. Lets see if we can dredge up some commitment from somewhere for once.
  14. " Well organised " is exactly what we aren't. In my opinion, barring the very occasional game, we've never looked to be a well organised team all the time Mowbray has been here. That's why I wanted him out after his first full season.
  15. I wanted Mowbray out long ago but I've never wanted us to lose, no matter what the circumstances are.
  16. I'm not so sure. We've got plenty of players who look good on paper as individuals but as a collective we're all over the place. I honestly can't see what Mowbray has been trying to create over the last four years.
  17. We got lucky with Souey and the Barcodes, I can't see lightning striking twice in the same place.
  18. I was invited to watch a Rovers game at a pals house a while ago. We started the game on cans of Stella but at one point my pal came in with a can for me that I'd never heard of before. He said " I'm sorry Tyrone, but we're on the 99p cans now ". I said " 99p isn't that bad ". He replied " That's for six cans " !
  19. The training pitch is the place for trying out new systems of play.
  20. Lenihan still hasn't learnt not to be drawn to the ball un-necessarily. What can be a positive for a midfield player is a negative for a defender. Jones at Utd is another one with that failing in his game.
  21. Err, the play-off spot is out of the question already.
  22. I thought it stood for - There Is No Alternative, for a minute !
  23. Two goalie's wouldn't have kept that out. Great free kick.
