Tom Finney nearly joined Rovers according to his biography...what a side that would have been with Douglas and Clayton! Was present at Deepdale when they officially opened 'The Splash' Statue prior to a pre Season friendly...I think it's one of the best ever made tbh.

Still see 'Rambo' walking his dogs down Witton Park and doing some training. He did indeed by mistake stop the ball dead for Strachan to chip Gennoe from about 15 yards...the ball seemed to move in slow motion from the BBE.I'm sure Whittle blue posted a link to the game on YouTube....Ewood didn't look as full as I remember on the night! Souness .....Tugay,Friedel,Hughes,Cole.The young Ewood trinity of Duff,Jansen and Dunn. Good memories.

The decision to close the DE to home fans has clearly been a balls up,a pointless exercise.Leeds will be the only club to come near filling that stand. Just a huge bank of empty seating for the TV Camera's to poke fun at.

Our Club decided to kick home fans out of the DE to accommodate the hoards from Leeds et al.... Apparently you could have taken more.

As much as I would like to see the club 'washing its own face' Parsons I think that wish is utter pie in the Sky with the Club in its present predicament. The Club under the Tenure of the awful Raos is now saddled with over £120 MILLION of debt so we are to believe. I would also hazard a guess the club needs a matchday attendance of around 20,000 just to break even with running cost. Nothing is going to change until we reach the Top flight gravy train again.

We're doing just great,this season was about consolidation and finding our feet in this league again. That said,who knows how far this team can go...we are exceeding expectations imo.

£20-22/ £18?....not too sure about calling those prices steep Matty...,very much in line and probably cheaper than most of the BIG Clubs in this league.
