  1. He's never referred to us as 'little Rovers' - he's always been very forthright about the quality of the squad at his disposal. If anything he's talked us up as a great club with a fantastic history.
  2. Is Batty anywhere near ready? I know he picked up an injury this year, but he's not featured at all for the First XI.
  3. He's not walking away, but he'll be shopping himself around no doubt.
  4. Good to see Steele throwing the ball into the back of his own net. Stupid from Brighton handing him the #1 shirt, awful GK.
  5. We said the same thing last year. We weren't going to win the Playoffs with our lack of firepower.
  6. It's all about perspective - I was expecting relegation when we'd spent five weeks without a manager in the summer.
  7. He has to be moved on in the summer - on a load of money and he doesn't produce. His contract extension was Mowbray's parting gift to us.
  8. We're 1 player from finishing in the top 6. We're 3/4 players from automatic promotion.
  9. If you're interviewing JDT then you've looked at our squad and though "bloody hell he's done a good job with Hedges / Dolan / Gallagher leading the line".
  10. Let's see who comes down - e.g. I could see Everton and Leicester going into absolute freefall. Watford are a basket case club. We need 3 new attacking players at a minimum, all of whom can score goals.
  11. It would have to be £40m (which is all invested back into the squad) - nobody is offering that YET.
  12. He won't resign, but he'll be taking interviews in the summer. I don't think the O'Brien fiasco sickened him - the lack of a goal scorer did. He even said so in February.
  13. The words of a man that has been let down by his recruitment team and is looking for a lifeline elsewhere.
  14. Have you seen the goals that Sunderland team are scoring? That's nothing to do with the manager feeling pressure, they're just wonder strikes from outside the box from quality players.
  15. To be fair my assessment of the Rovers squad last year was that we'd need an entire new XI if we fluked promotion. With the emergence of a few of the Academy players / signings I think we'd only need 8 new starting players - progress.
  16. Another one that in the same breath both criticises the quality of the squad and the manager picking them, yet expects a Playoff run.
  17. Honestly he comes in for too much criticism on here. The formation / system does him no favours - he's not good enough on the ball to play in a 2 (hence why JDT hides him when we have possession). He's a very good Championship midfielder in a 3 (or any formation that allows him to play as a BWM) - if JDT is ruthless he moves Travis on in the summer for a decent fee and reinvests it into the squad, there's plenty of teams in this division that would love to have Travis in their side.
  18. I've been calling for it for some time. He's worked at RB, but he's not a better one that Brittain - and he has more quality on the ball than Thomas / Dolan / Hedges so should be replacing one of those further up the pitch. Obviously they've tried him at CM today and it's worked, but I don't think that's his long-term position (although I could be wrong).
  19. Of course he will - Mowbray only ever looks out for himself.
  20. Yep - good squad / utility player. His energy vs tired legs is his super power.
  21. I take if you've not actually been watching the games over the last 6 weeks?
