  1. On what grounds do you think it’s unlikely that Venkys will spend ?
  2. An ex player, says nearly done deal, but we will see, heard all this before, but think it would certainly be a good signing, big lad 6’4”.
  3. Yes agree entirely with what you say, Waggot not everyone’s cup of tea but definitely the best since Williams. People need to realise he has to try and balance the books, think he and Mowbray doing an excellent job. They are certainly trying to utilise the ground 24/7 and I believe the company they have chose re hospitality want that. Was told the company’s name and they are certainly very big in the football hospitality, including a few big Premier clubs,Championship,Scotish Premiership and a couple of national venues, think Rovers have gone for the best, be interesting how it pans out on the running the concourses as well as the corporate. Looking like season tickets staying the same, looking between the lines. I would have probably tried one season, at very cheap, just to see if if they could drastically increase the volume, but obviously they aren’t sure that’s the way to go. Think the majority of fans think the club is improving slowly from the dark days, and I am looking forward to next season with hopefully some quality signings.
  4. Think Rovers used purchasing history last season on a few occasions, with small allocations in league 1, don’t think they needed it this season, and would hope they use it against Luton next season.
  5. Agree, badly worded re thanking supporters who might not have been, but still done the right thing in reducing pricing.
  6. Don’t think the club can win whatever they do, if they kept same prices for Swansea game fans would say they should reduce them to try and get more fans to come down, when they reduce them folk going on saying it’s not fair on the season ticket holders, can’t win.
  7. Yes, and 60/61 points and a 12th-16th after promotion is perfectly acceptable, he hopes to raise the bar next season as he’s said on numerous occasions...
  8. We are making steady progress, obviously not quick enough for some on here, but certainly good enough for me. Perfect example after Fridays games was the Chris Wilder quote, he said Shef U in his first season got 100 points and promotion, last season 69 points, consolidation and this season 82 points and more to come. Rovers last season 96 points, promotion, this season probably around 60/62 consolidation, not a million miles away from their record and hopefully kick on next season.
  9. Spot on as usual, must admit forgot about Everton game on Tuesday, hence lack of a couple of youngsters on bench, might stick a couple on last two games, think TM knows now who can and who can’t do the business. Lenihan nailed on as no 1 centre back, Williams not far behind, with Bauer hopefully coming in, Travis sorted central midfield position and Rothwell improving every match, for wing ,Dack back to normal, need a striker to challenge Graham and hopefully Butterworth can step up. Full backs are sometimes a problem, Bell good going forward but not the best defensively, Bennett/ Nyambe sometimes a bit iffy, already looking forward to close season to see who TM can get in, played well last 3 games, hopefully another 6 points and a decent season.
  10. Yep,think Bauer from Charlton will be here in close season, like I said not keen on Leutwiler but he certainly didn’t come from Shrewsbury’s reserves he was their main guy who kept a record number of clean sheets for them, but not good enough in championship IMO.
  11. The mind boggles at some of these comments on here, let’s face it whatever TM does there are some on here will never agree with his team selections. Of course you have to blood one or two young ‘uns’ but you also have to win a football match, can certainly see Butterworth or Buckley playing a part on Monday, lot easier at home to blood them than away. Hes learnt a lot over last few games, with his defensive duo of Lenihan/Williams, playing Travis in midfield and Rothwell on wing, also learnt today his reserve goalie isn’t up to it....
  12. No, still think Raya can make it, certainly better of the two of them, but if TM can pick up a decent keeper, who can handle crosses, al well and good, would keep Raya as back up.
  13. Think I’m being realistic more than mediocrity, who would your kind of manager be, taking into budgets etc, think he’s a very knowledgeable guy,but sometimes overthinks things and worries too much about the opposition, but like I said decent manager, and realises he needs to replace 4/5 players next season. Hopefully he gets time to get them in, and progress again next season.
  14. Told on Tuesday Rovers have a new company in place to replace Northcote, couldn’t get a name yet, but saying they will cover all hospitality and the concourse.
  15. Think a lot of Rovers fans would have Big Sam back but he was probably the most negative manager we’ve had.
  16. Best manager we’ve had for quite a while, obviously has his faults but a decent manager.
  17. Totally agree,as we both know there are probably 3/4 from the u/23s who hopefully can move up to the first team squad next season, plus a few experienced additions to the squad, think TM hopefully now knows the players he needs and the ones he has to move on, needs to stick Butterworth in before the end of season to give him a bit of experience, Bolton at home would be ideal.
  18. Magloire played for u/23s last night so he won’t start, if Mulgrew is unfit Williams will start, think Chapman will be on bench.
  19. No Chapman for u/23s tonight, could be in tomorrow’s squad And already 2 0 up. 3 0 up 82 mins.
