  1. I think that's most likely. Seen Rangers/Celtic mentioned too.
  2. Look at the Venkys v Indian government thread for the answers to this. There is no chance anything gets done soon, that french defender Elliot mentioned was just a smokescreen fed to him by the club to make it look like things are happening.
  3. At absolute best, someone like Sunderland might take a punt on him as a squad player with him being cheap, and then they have a ready made championship for there probable relegation in 12 months.
  4. We can afford to replace them, we just choose not to.
  5. I think Travis especially they will be keen to get out of the door, and then make something up that he doesn't fit in our "new system" or something.
  6. Criminal that we have allowed ourselves again to get to the stage where our two most influential players are out of contract in 12 months time with not even a hint of talks, but not surprising at all.
  7. Worst account on Twitter. Just makes up a load of names and pretends we are "interested". Not a clue him.
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25193971.blackburn-rovers-uncertainty-derby-county-lurk-duo/ As predicted. And folk actually think they can get Brittain to sign a new deal or get this lad from Montpellier signed up?! Do me a favour, these pair should have been the easiest deals they do this summer.
  9. I think Wood and Stritch have probably kept around as a couple of cheap "old heads" for the 21s to just pad out the squad no? Really can't see it as much more than that and I love a good conspiracy theory.
  10. Possible relegation clause, that's the only way I imagine we could look at something like this. I still expect Elliot to pen an article in mid June though saying that talks have "stalled". Like said earlier, smokescreen.
  11. Definitely a typo there. It "hasn't" developed past initial inquiry is what it should say. Be amazed if they get this bloke over the line. Another smokescreen is my guess to make it look like things are happening.
  12. It'll be 1600 pages by the time this lot getting anything over the line.
  13. We don't offer competitive salaries when they go pro. Although not academy, look at Dolan. A pro deal when he signed, an improved deal 6 months later and then nothing for 4 years.
  14. It doesn't end, at least for the foreseeable. Depending what happens with Brittain, Travis, Tronstad etc we might have one more competitive year at this level. After that I imagine we'll go down and have stability in the 3rd tier for a few years, without ever finishing in the top 6, then by the time we're into the 2030's we'll be looking at the bottom end of the 3rd tier or possibly even be in the 4th tier. All while the court case still rumbles on, fanbase dwindles even more, and folk asking "what do they get out of this?".
  15. I'd be very surprised if they offer Brittain a deal that's worth signing. When was the last time we managed to get somebody to sign a new contract who was entering there final year? Just doesn't happen here.
  16. Small will sign for Preston i think. Really good player who i think if played on the right wing would contribute more than Hedges.
  17. I'm pretty confident Batth won't be here next season. Elliot reckons we offered him his new deal around Easter time. Or if he does end up signing, it will be later in the window if he doesn't end up getting any better offers.
  18. Great scenes for Sunderland. Just a shame it's something we will never see again.
  19. Yeah he's got his timeline a bit off there, Waggot came in after Mowbray. Very convenient but they were adamant Mowbray had nothing to do with his appointment, I never did believe it.
  20. It's been 15 years, that just isn't going to happen.
  21. Only a matter of time. Depending what happens with Trav and Tronstad for me, if they stay and go for free next summer then I could see next season being our last being fairly competitive at this level before relegation the year after. If they go this summer and we downgrade the midfield then I think we'll be in all kinds of trouble this coming season.
  22. Be a downgrading summer for sure. Shipping Brittain out for a couple of million and bringing this bloke in for half the fee and cheaper wages would be right up there street.
  23. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25187227.blackburn-register-transfer-interest-hull-city-defender/ Cody Drameh, who I believe is a right back. Knew it wouldn't take too long!
  24. Waiting for someone to come along and say he would be better off staying here.
  25. I still think it's a bit fanciful that Suhail will be leaving any time soon. He is well within the firing line now though.
