The players are performing and they also put in a hell of a shift. However, it's a small, weak and inexperienced bunch who when coming up against a team of well drilled experienced journeymen will probably lose out most of the time. I said we were a spineless bunch last night in the heat of the moment and that was harsh, I'm just disappointed with our home form more than anything, 5 defeats in 8 isn't good despite all the eye pleasing football on offer.

Amazing how people see different games. What I saw was a pretty spineless showing from Rovers again at Ewood. Easy to defend against, and can't deal with fairly simple balls in the box. Give me Prestons big, strong, physical, direct side over our bunch of spineless midget weaklings any day.

It's a while off yet but it's being changed from the 26-27 season. One international break in late September that covers 2 weekends instead of 1 where there will be 4 internationals, and then the standard ones in November and March that cover the usual 1 weekend and 2 internationals. So not much better really.

We have lost 4 out of 7 at home. Fortress Ewood has deserted us.

Plus there is prize money on offer in the cup. In the league it doesn't matter whether you finish 7th or 17th, there is no financial gain. With the state the club is in you would think that any cup games would be a priority.

I think more and more in the modern game, players are terrified of trying something with there weaker foot, like a through ball or a knock down the line in fear of giving possession away. It's like its drilled into them now just to recycle the ball at every opportunity and play safe with there stronger foot than try something ambitious and give it away with your weaker.

You get the choice there to have the whole Shed End for cup games, like Wimbledon and Brighton did in the last two rounds. Chelsea put an article up on there website that I linked earlier in the thread stating that we had decided not to take the whole end.

Really dislike this lazy narrative. At Ewood the fans were brilliant with him, the odd sigh or moan when he misplaced a pass for the umpteenth time like they would with anyone but on the whole he couldn't have asked for a more supportive home crowd.
