  1. I think you would be surprised, and it's why you very rarely see a player make an official transfer request these days. I think all 4 would fancy themselves in the free transfer market next summer.
  2. EFL website says by today... β€œSky Sports Selections Notification The notice periods for selections for the 2025/26 season are as follows: On the 2025/26 Fixture Release Day, selections shall be confirmed in respect of the opening weekends of the Championship and League One and League Two seasons. By 3 July 2025, selections shall be announced in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played before the end of September. By 31 July 2025, selections shall be announced in respect of all matches scheduled to be played prior to the end of the third round of the FA Cup (January 2026). By 7 November 2025, selections shall be announced in respect of all matches to be played between the end of the third round proper of the FA Cup and the last weekend of February.” Wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed though because that's what TV companies do.
  3. Brittain, Travis, Tronstad, Hyam and even Hedges (not a debate if he's good enough, just that we won't sign anyone better), if none of those are sold off this summer, that's likely 5 of our first choice 11 that are out of contract next summer, with the rest (Toth, Carter, Riberio, Kargbo, Cantwell & Ohashi) out of contract the summer after. Squad planning at it's finest.
  4. He was a really good source a few years back, dunno why but anything recent Rovers related he's been miles off.
  5. If there is one club that isn't bothered what the fanbase thinks, it's this one.
  6. Could still be "sold" to be fair, a club might offer us a fee to save it going to tribunal.
  7. Topi Keskinen is a name recycled from last summer. 3 years left on his contract, you aren't getting him for Β£1m.
  8. To be fair we don't as nothing official has come out. There's one really well connected twitter poster who said it, Nixon also reported it. Elliot said he had heard the same but couldn't do a piece on it as he wasn't 100%.
  9. I don't think so. I think that him and Tavares were probably identified, and that Tavares was cheaper so we went for him. Injured for a month within 2 days of being here. Just a hunch, but I dont think Taveres will impact the first team at all this season.
  10. This article on the retained list says that they were offered new contracts. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/may/19/retain-list-2025/
  11. A Batth masterclass in defence as they keep a clean sheet, Weimann popping up off the bench to score the winner, all while Eustace pisses himself as we slip into the bottom 3. Happy Birthday Rovers.
  12. Yeah I think there's something like that to it too. Also the fact that we don't have to register him this coming season as he isn't 21 yet so won't take up a squad place.
  13. If we're relying on Carter and Hyam as a partnership next season then we won't be keeping many clean sheets. We didn't keep one last season until Batth came into the side, and I think our only clean sheet without Batth in the side last season was against rock bottom Plymouth at Ewood.
  14. I have seen the "closer to home" argument already on social media since the announcement. Usually when a player leaves a club at the end of there contract, both the club who he is leaving and the club they are joining release confirmation at the same time to announce the move. Nothing from Rovers side. Be interesting to see what they do when Dolan signs for someone.
  15. Jake Batty done. Only a 1 year contract (with an option) which I think is a bit odd. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/july/01/jake-signs-new-rovers-deal/
  16. That was in 2017, not far off a decade ago. Surely you can see that a lot has changed since then?
  17. Maintained it all along that League One is the end goal. Hence only a handful of players contracted past June 2027 as things stand. They want a third division side run on 90% academy players on very low wages, complimented by the odd loan and foreign second/third division prospect topping the squad up. Loads more redundancies at the club to cut costs more, less fans around to complain about things. Eventually we disappear even more out of the spotlight. All depends for me when we actually get there, if they keep the lads out of contract next summer and just let them walk away for free I think we can be fairly competitive again at this level next season, sell them and replace with more cheap, young foreign imports and I think we could be in a lot of trouble this season.
  18. We're not even in the market for good free transfers at this level. Wages/signing on fee rules us out. Only players we are signing are like the ones already done 100-400k over the course of a 3 year deal Transfer fee made up of add ons that will never come to fruition Willing to accept wages of 5k per week Players that nobody else wants They will be complimented by a few loans of premier league kids and Cauley Woodrow types.
  19. When Venkys took over this club, Oxford has just been promoted back to the football league after 4 years in the Conference. Now 15 years later, we can't even compete with them when it comes to signing/buying players. Sums up this regime perfectly.
