I was just about to post similar and is the exact same as where I am at. It seems to me that the coalition don't want constructive criticism, the "the action has been chosen and that's that" comment I find disappointing. I think it was yourself earlier in the thread that said the coalition don't seem to understand the mindset of the majority of the remaining match going fanbase, and I agree. I truly do hope this works and is the start of something, but the numbers for this game I think will be no more noticeable than it was the game against Milwall a few weeks back.

Sacked with 3 wins in there last 10. Meanwhile here we have won 1 in our last 10 and we limp on.

Probably in hiding after crowing about what a brilliant job Gestede and co did in the summer. -

To be fair they have enough of our ex players there to choose from! Yeah he's been poor at Derby, 2 goals in 21 games, both against Wrexham funnily enough. -

He scored in his last game, against Wrexham. -
He did, but he signed for Rovers as an apprentice before turning professional 2 years later, so I think he can be included in this.

Raya Nyambe Taylor Jones Olsson Wilcox Dunn Wharton Duff Garner Beattie Although Garner and Olsson both played elsewhere before joining us, they both signed for our youth team/academy before turning professional.

You would only do that if results mattered. Here, they don't. -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
MarkBRFC replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think we will. When Toth and Gudjohnsen are back in the side, with Baradji getting better every game and still potentially having Tronstad and Cantwell in the side, I think we have just enough. Oxford and Charlton I think will go down with Wednesday, although it will be close and won't be a pretty second half of the season to watch, thats for sure. -
Phil Jones on his league debut against Chelsea was superb too, probably more impressive than Wharton's considering the opposition involved.

That's because Celtic is a results driven club. Venkys era Blackburn Rovers couldn't give a hoot about football results. -

I mean I hope not, but is Paul Mullin one to watch? Been recalled from Wigan, seen he has the same agent as Ismael, Cashin & co. -
The theme here, Wednesday's most effective boycott was a night game on TV, same with Leicester last night. The Sheffield Wednesday rearranged game should have been the one targeted by the coalition, a game only being played because of this regimes lack of investment. A Saturday 3pm game was the wrong choice, and just won't work, in my opinion.

Judging by this, you clearly don't respect the fans boycotting as you said they shouldn't be doing it?

If they had put a bid in I think we would all know about it by now. It's just rumoured interest at this stage. -

I've thought this for a while to be honest. With the top end of the National League having some decent sized clubs for that kind of level, shouldn't we be looking at 5 professional leagues now with 20 in each? A 46 game league season I think is too much for the modern game. -

Looking at the league table, and some of the results we have that just isn't true. Wednesday are by far the worst, then I think Oxford will finish 2nd bottom. Last spot is us Charlton or Portsmouth. I think we will just be ok, but it's going to be a tough watch. -

MarkBRFC replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yep I agree with that. And I think we might just be a bit better than Charlton/Oxford when Toth is back in goal and Gudjohnsen is back to sniff out a goal. Hopefully Baradji carries on from today too. Said since it was clear they wanted to get all of the remaining championship experience out of the door that we would be bottom 6 all season with a 50/50 of going down, seen nothing to change my mind. -

Absolutely. We're not a normal club though and that will never happen. They will be crowing about this comeback like its some miraculous result for a few weeks now. -

v Charlton Athletic (h) - 4/1/26
MarkBRFC replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Never thought we would lose today because we don't when everyone thinks we will, even at 2-0 down after getting that goal back quickly I didn't think we would lose. That being said, despite taking the point at 2-0 down its still another poor home result against another poor side. Repeat the cycle now, lose the next couple and then get a result against someone. -

Happened plenty, although more away from home I'll give you that. Let's see what happens.
