These kind of deals just wont happen, I'm not saying we wont sign any good players this summer, but the ones we do sign I can guarantee will be out of left field and probably not be first team ready.

With the dingles starting there season at home on Saturday 10th August, it looks like we'll be at home on the opening weekend (3rd August) Also looks like a home game on Boxing Day, away on New Years day, and away on the final day of the season if it falls on the same weekend as last season. Fixtures released next Thursday (20th) at 9am.

I still think that the eleven who start on the opening day will be eleven players that we currently have on the books. One or two new lads on the bench, with 2/3 lads that will get nowhere near the bench for the first 6 months.

It's happened for a few seasons in the venkys era, 11/12, 12/13, 15/16 & 16/17. Then we had the kits of 13/14 & 14/15 where they swapped the blue & white around, and then this season with the horrible pale blue. The only home shirt they have got right is the 17/18 league one shirt.

Bennett will be first name on the team sheet. He will start the season at either right back or right midfield.

I really wouldn't expect a wideman to come in. Rothwell, Armstrong, Bennett, Chapman, Brereton & Samuel will occupy the wide spots next season.

Completely agree. At the start of Feb I couldn't believe we didn't make a couple of signings then and really have a go with us only being 3 points off. It could be years before we get in that position again. My point is that whilst I accept that it would be progress if we finished 6th, the year after we could easily finish 15th again, but a lot on here seem to view that getting in the play offs is a successful season, it isn't, winning them is.

Is losing in the play off semi final next season a successful one?
