I think it will probably be Butterfield out of the two. Younger, might be able to sell him on at some point. He strikes me as another Corry Evans. If we were to sign one of them I think I would probably prefer Adam, I think he gives us something different to what we currently have in CM.

opinion Rangers fan here

Think it's pay on the gate in the home ends. -
Completely agree. But lets not pretend that if we don't sign Gallagher then the £5m or whatever it is will be used on the GK and defence, it won't happen.
-
Seen a lot of folk saying this. Whether we sign Gallagher or not, I get the feeling that we won't be using that money on a GK and CH, when or more likely if those deals happen I would put good money on them being a free & a loan.
-
Until we get to March, then the target will mysteriously change to 62 points.
-
Thing is, even if Brentford sign Gallagher, that money won't be used on a GK or CB, it will be used to panic buy another striker closer to the deadline.
-
I reckon we'll get to 400 pages before our next signing is announced, and to 500 pages before we sign a defender.
-
Said all along, the keeper will be a free and the defender will be a last minute loan just to say he got one in. Probably names out of left field that we have never been linked with and would never have thought of. I think next season could be an utter shambles.
-
I get what your saying and the bit in bold is fair enough if it happens. I think the reaction was down to Bauer playing in our most problem position though, and the worry that missing out on him and not getting anyone of any quality back there. Gallagher is ok, but I don't think him as a signing will define our season, but some real quality at the back might just do.
-
Those two won't happen. Adam & Gallagher I could see though.
-
No, it was against MK Dons at Ewood in August 2017.
-
Well yeah, if you only go to one or two a season it probably isn't worth it,but if you went to 3 or 4 more games on top of those then you would end up saving, Club needs to do all it can to get the people signed up who can only make 5/6 games a season.

Missed nothing. Not even been linked again.

Formation/tactics for next season
MarkBRFC replied to Bigdoggsteel's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Again though, he isn't a winger. He's doing the best he can in the role he has been given. Chapman is nowhere near Armstrongs level at the minute, -
Well he wouldn't have to worry about strong characters here.

Formation/tactics for next season

What has Chapman ever done at this level to suggest he is a better option than Armstrong?! I know Armstrong isn't a winger, but theres been times last season where he has absolutely terrorised the opposition full back. I do think he is better on the right than the left though. -
Haha, I'm not sure if this is a joke or not ?
-
Complete over reaction to Hart, he's had an excellent career and I think he would be a good experienced head for us back there. He is not as good as he was of course not, but we are certainly not in the market for a keeper in there prime. Look at Friedel when we signed him, nobody would touch him back then after that spell at Liverpool. However, I very much doubt Hart will be signing. I think it will be someone completely out of left field that we haven't even thought of or been linked with.

Something along the lines of Reed not being ready to play central midfield in the championship (he's 24!) & how he needs to learn off Smallwood and Evan's how to play the position because they play it better.
-
Like Matty says, I think the Leeds/Sheff Wed games will have bigger discounts than usual for 1875 members. They really need to hammer this 1875 membership home on all social media, do a mail drop for folk on the database who go to around 6/7 games a season etc I just don't think it's marketed well.

Next seasons match day ticket prices... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/july/matchday-prices-2019-20/ £40 for a Blackburn end ticket against Leeds & Sheffield Wednesday ?
-
More than us.
-
Why? Nobody at either club is bothered about that sort of thing apart from the fans. I remember when the roles were reversed and we were a stable top flight team and they were a mid table/lower half champ team, we loaned them Andy Todd and Jay McEverley. Just hammers home how things have changed unfortunately.
-
Yes, and they want to recoup the fee if possible.
-
I'd say it's unlikely either will break through for a while yet.
