It really doesn't. Any slightly higher crowd than usual at Ewood and this lot play like they have never met before.

The January 2026 Transfer Window
MarkBRFC replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Hasn't played a game for a year. Hasn't started a game for two years. This is more likely than Youan, I can see a short term deal until the end of the season happening, before a 2 year deal similar to the Riberio signing this time last year. -

Gueye didn't take an ESC slot anyway. One available providing they convert Toth is my understanding. -

Ellie Youan has been linked a couple of times. Very quick but doesn't score many, although scored twice last weekend and has played as more of a winger in his career. Out of contract in the summer so probably wouldn't cost much. Not sure I see this one happening. -

Ismael has hinted at another acedemy debut in his press conference. My guess is either Powell or Joseph, not sure there are any more that are close currently here? -

I can only imagine the bullshit being spouted at this event. -

I don't think it will be an open Q&A unfortunately! -

Yeah I don't see us buying one. Either a loan, or someone like Riberio/Forshaw where the player will be able to negotiate a cancelled contract and join on a short term deal that might be extended in the summer. -
I'm actually on the side of the boycott as I have stated a few times. But as a grown up I can also see the other side and why people want to attend, without saying "well they must be happy and content with how things are, so attend". I accept that Speedie has said that it was maybe a poor choice of words however.

Well not really, Nixon put it on and then 4 hours later RoversXtra claimed it as an exclusive. -

Postponed due to the weather warnings is my guess, to hide the fact that no bugger is going. -

I do enjoy a cup run and would usually want to progress as far as possible, but this season it does seem sensible to rest the majority. Toth Atcheson O'Riordan Cashin TGH Montgomery Garrett De Neve Henriksson Dlamini Joseph Am I right in thinking you don't have to be in the registered 25 to play in the FA Cup, so Garrett could play? I know you can register and unregister players game by game this month but it's just me wondering. -
Really poor comment this from a member of the group leading the call. Could understand if it was just someone on here who had that opinion, but a member, who has become a spokesman for the group on this board shouldn't be trying to divide the fanbase with comments like that in my opinion.

He moved agency's last week conveniently enough. It's part of the reason I am expecting Paul Mullin to rock up as he's represented by these too, and just been recalled. -

He will be a guaranteed starter, whether he is any good or not. Lets be honest, he's here because he shares the same agency as Ismael, Rudy and co and because he's cheap, no other reason. The "experienced championship defender" narrative is complete nonsense. He might turn out to be decent, but it's a punt. If we were looking to improve the actual football team, then a commanding presence to play in the middle of a back 3 would have been sourced, as McLoughlin clearly isn't up to playing there. But, that's not the priority here, and it never will be so the cheap option will have to do, despite having 2 other players, with another one back in a month for that role already.- 5008 replies

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
MarkBRFC replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Again I don't disagree with that, and you are correct the form as Eustace left was pretty bad but we were just hanging in there. Just judging the managers performance though since coming in, he was and still is an absolute shocker. His past managerial career before turning up here will tell you that. -

Tronstad had a fews weeks out in January/February too, but he also came off the bench in Ismaels first game, and then started all but one of the games for the rest of the season. VI had our strongest squad available for the run in last season (barring Pickering and Carter) that had been in the top 6 pretty much all way through the season so far, and then destroyed any play off hopes within two weeks of being appointed. Sure, there are much bigger problems than him at the club, but he has been an absolute disaster from day one. -

Ohashi was back from injury for VI's first game. Came off the bench, and then started every game for the rest of the season afterwards. Agree with the rest though, although I do think he's a very poor manager regardless. -

Could put Pickering or Riberio in at left centre back to give Pratt a breather maybe. -
Fair point on the tickets being valid for the abandoned game, but that could have been said about any game you targeted though regarding discounted ticket prices. Also the Watford game was included in the recent 4 game bundle they did, not that we probably sold many of them but if we did those people would already have tickets for that one too. The only Saturday 3pm in the bundle. The details and date set for the rearranged game were actually released before the open letter was released to the public too. Like I said, I'm behind it and truly hope it works, I personally just think the game targeted is a bit of an own goal. Let's see.

The January 2026 Transfer Window
MarkBRFC replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Completely agree, if anyone else is interested we have no chance. If somehow we stumbled on a decent top half league one player that nobody else wanted though, if we offered him more cash than he was currently being paid, I believe they would be here like a shot. Guaranteed half a season playing at a higher level on more money, then if you do well you can be sold again in the summer, or you stay playing at the level you were playing at anyway on a better wage. -

Money talks. If we can offer better wages than a players current club in league one(probably doubtful with some these days though) then they would be here like a shot. -

Same clubs would win the FA Cup either way. How many different winners outside of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd & Man City have won it in the past 35 years? 3 maybe?
