    They’d isolated Pickering on the previous goal kick as well. Exactly the same on this one and he missed his header. No choice but to bring the player down really.

    The short corner in the 97th minute was pointless. It was pretty much the final kick and needed to be put in the box. Poor decision making to take that one short.

    He’s missed a pen, given away a goal and been booked…… at what point would you sub him??? I think we need to sub him to avoid him getting a second yellow.

    TBF the comments have been that the keeper didn’t cover himself in glory but also that the back line is all over the place so I don’t think it’s been great all round.

    We cannot play it out from the back. Yet again it’s the same issue. Pears with a shit pass and Markandey (I think) lost it softly

    Didn’t he play that peach of a through ball to Leonard that ended in the Szmodics chance? It seemed obvious early doors that Sam was on for a card so took him at 5/1 after the ref had a word with him.

    No issue with Markanday starting after a decent pre season. It’s reward for his obvious hard work over the last few weeks

    And I guess there’s the confirmation of the Gallagher injury mentioned earlier in the week.

    I mentioned him on the transfer thread. Wondered if he was one who may kick on this season. Can’t fault his pedigree, captain of Barca youth so must have something about him.

    What a horrible stat. Only Burnley and Sheffield United have spent more time in the top 6 than us this season. Yet it’s still JDT saying that we are lucky to be where we are and that we’re overachieving.
