“I don't think we will be celebrating if we stay up. At the start of the season, we wanted to be in and around the play-offs. "If we go and win, brilliant. But we won't be celebrating because we know, as a group of players, we are miles better than what we have shown this season. "We have to stay in the league. When we came in for pre-season, we wanted to be fighting at the other end, trying to get in the Premier League. Best have a word with your gaffer, Hayden. -

Always makes me laugh when people try and say the Rovers job isn’t an attractive one - it’s bloody fantastic for your journeyman manager. No pressure at all to get results, no chance of the sack for as long as you have a contract, so you can just get your feet under the table in a nice environment like Brockhall. -

But I bet he’s on a decent wedge as he ended up with a decent reputation, his stock seemed fairly high… largely because Rooney made a complete horlicks with Birmingham after him. -

There’s loads of managers out there, it’s not ‘99s role to find one, that’s the job of the club hierarchy to unearth - who saw JDT coming? Chaddy didn’t. -

Loads of games at the start, fair enough, but he’s had plenty of time on the training ground and largely one game a week since mid-March. But yes, it’s a tough gig , no question, but I’m afraid context doesn’t matter a jot when you get relegated. Personally I’d be very uneasy if we do manage to scramble to safety to have this fella in situ in August sitting on 0 points. But he will be here for as long as he fancies - so not a lot we can do but hope he does vastly improve with a summer behind him. -

Well you are certainly persuasive, like I said get in touch with Miller and hopefully the players can run out to it for the opening game against Burton Albion in August… and watch the roof come off! 🎶 No, no, no no… -

People are getting too focused on both wins and defeats tallies, as I suppose it’s easy to frame the debate that way- ‘only x wins, he’s shit’ or ‘only x defeats, he’s steadied the ship’. It’s points that matter and his return is relegation form - less than a point a game (13 points from 14 matches). -

Who’s criticised Sammie for being selfish? He works his arse off the team, whoever said that must have confused him with Adam Armstrong. -

Blackburn was one of the homes of rave and acid house, they weren’t listening to the likes of ‘no no, no no no no’, ya daft sod 😅. What do I want to hear? Couldn’t give a flying feck, so yeah, get them rung up with your suggestion, might fire Gallagher up enough to actually get in the box or something. -

It’s over 30 year old, and it was even naff back then, so if anyone is the Grandad wanting that cheese played, it’s you! I’d take it up with @Miller11 , as I’m sure he now has an input into the music they play. -

You think that naff tune blazing out of the shit sound system is going to get folk going? Aye, oreight 😅 -
JDT had one foot out of the door by January… so even if it was a pure football thing, why let the captain leave in January too if the manager he fell out with was also on the verge of departing?

Cracking arse covering though as he knows it will go down well with a fair chunk of the fanbase that will blame JDT if the worst happens - not as daft as he sounds. -

Have they booked an open top bus? Or maybe just use the coach. -

I used them recently and I can vouch for them… however, once again a very small ( in the grand scheme of things), down the road operation. Surely Blackburn Rovers should be aiming to engage bigger fishes? But nah, just spin the Rolodex for the local firms already in the tent. -

Exactly. ’The squad’s shit, but I’ll have a go’. Just don’t listen to them if you don’t want to hear banalities. -
I’m not talking about right now, as if you noticed I didn’t mention Southgate - but thanks for the correction, Eddie.

QPR, Millwall, Sheff Wed have all had managerial changes that have had an impact, especially when you consider their respective league positions when they went in, the results are plain to see - this fella obviously hasn’t, luckily he had a very handy buffer to fall back on. Though I suppose he has steadied the ship as it hasn’t sank yet, but he couldn’t actually steer it into calm waters like the bosses of those other clubs. -
He should be delighted to come back now that fella who wouldn’t pick him has gone.
-
Manioo because he plays for, err, Man U… that’s as far as an England manager analysis would go.
