He obviously is up to it as his actual record has shown over 18 months. We have bang average players made up of poor signings, loans and academy lads. The manager is not the issue here.

‘Manager’s not up to it’. It’s a bad run of form. We were flying a month ago, that’s the Championship when you have such a small and inexperienced squad. What else is going to happen, you are going to get these dips with this bunch of players. The solution is to get shut of these disgraceful owners, that ain’t on the horizon so we just have to lump these drop offs.

JDT was taking about him in his interview only on Saturday saying how he’s been knocking on the door for a while and has really impressed him - but yeah with this massively stretched squad lets send him to the fourth division instead… just 35 days of this to go folks 🙄

It’s been the story of the decade and why we never do more than tread water. But Dolan at least has something to offer, like many others have - standard Championship players. Markanday I’m afraid just looks like he’s never going to make it at this level.

And that can be said for the majority of players at this level, it’s why they are down here. Markanday is a mile off him.

Yeah and one of them has actually been effective.

Dolan is an important member of the squad and has contributed from day one. So should very much be near the first team. Markanday has contributed nowt from day one. Not remotely comparable when it comes to impact.

Does anyone look like a winger these days? Five yard passes is all any of them do.

Garrett’s been offered to L2? Why would we do that when he has something to offer at this level and will be getting plenty of minutes.

You seem to be very pro Markanday who’s done bugger all in his time here, yet constantly stating how Dolan’s out of his depth despite achieving far more here (and he’s younger).

If he was the ‘second coming’ he wouldn’t be here. He’s flawed, he’s inexperienced in the grand scheme of things, but he’s doing a good job in the circumstances.

To be fair JDT gets a healthy amount of flak at games, as has every manager here… apart from the last one, I reckon even Kenny copped more than that fella. Most odd.

Not around me it’s not. It’s all about results and even when we had them sitting top 6 for the majority of last season he received far more pelters than TM did in five years of plodding along (with a budget JDT could only dream of having).

To be fair he wasn’t even particularly popular when second/third in the league last season never mind now, think it’s more pining for Tone more than anything personal to JDT. Always the way with rebound relationships.

Thats the same at every single football club and has been since time immemorial. So certainly can’t explain why this bunch have been so weak for so long.

Doesn’t surprise me he’s never been remotely popular at Ewood, not like St Anthony of Yarm who certainly was until the very end.

It’s not a question of the players, DoF and manager ‘deserving’ more from the fanbase. We are a midtable second division club but with top end prices, the crowds therefore are what they are and that won’t change whilst we tread water (at best) for ever and a day as a ‘development club’ that is happy to stay out of League 1, but charging £400-£500+ for the privilege to watch it.

‘Stayed away as requested’… aye nowt do with having one win by December, of course.
