If this club was in the PL now it’d have absolutely no issue in getting sold for big money. 2010 was a totally different era, TV deals have exploded in value since 2013.

What difference does it make to the performances of the players and JDT if there isn’t a ‘positive attitude and belief’ on an obscure message board?

Not really been implied with Pears, it’s been openly said, he’s had a chance, a sustained spell in the side, but he just hasn’t grasped it, largely because he is what he is, an average keeper, a number 2 at this level and it’s time for a change. However, nobody has even implied that Whalstedt is a superstar in the making largely because nobody has the foggiest idea if he’s any good, decent enough pedigree, but that’s about it.

Who knows if the new keeper will be any cop, nobody had heard of the bloke a month ago, but he’s a Swedish international, we spent what is decent money for the modern day withered BRFC and the present incumbent isn’t inspiring confidence, so it’s time to give him a go. All this ‘sunlit uplands obviously with this new guy’, ‘well I’m looking forward to seeing this superstar brfcs reckon we’ve bought’ etc etc is the usual straw man hyperbole, more about needling the board than anything resembling what’s actually been said.

No arguments there (just like there wasn’t last night), big events create big interest, that’s football fans the world over.

There are also those fans that just go to away games anyway, not for ‘glory’, but because ‘Ewood’s shit’ and they want a day on the piss etc, always at PNE, Wigan etc.

Protests don’t get rid of owners, finances dictate, be it selling for a juicy profit, or administration.

To me the common denominator has been the lack of leadership and accountability on and off the pitch throughout this reign of terror.

He has every right to ‘moan’ about it, a player was shipped out to a fellow Championship side an hour before the window shut without a replacement.

He’s a number 2, a decent one, but that’s as far as it goes. He deserved a chance, and he’s certainly been given one, but it’s time.

Honestly still not sure, marton, yes they may have spotted some Indian names on the ‘board’ list, ‘Babu’ and the like… though then again we don’t even have a programme these days to spot such things. They may know of a ‘rep’ too (though I would wager most don’t), but they certainly won’t have a clue that he’s more powerful than the CEO and is the real decision maker. The amount of ignorance the ‘normal’ matchday fan still has about how this club operates after 12 years is very noticeable. Which suits the owners down to the ground.

I would say it’s because 99% of the fanbase (i.e pretty much everyone that aren’t saddos like us on niche forums), won’t have heard of Shadowman - which is obviously exactly how they want it.

He’s 19, he’ll have peaks and troughs, he’ll pick up knocks. Crazy to expect him to carry a side through a 50 game season, he’s still learning the game, no way the finished article. Exactly why Buckley should not inexplicably have been sent to a fellow Championship club without a replacement.

The open contempt he shows to the ‘leadership’ of the club would see him sacked elsewhere, luckily this lot don’t give a flying feck, so at least JDT can make merry in his pressers with no consequences, probably only fun he has left in the job. It was the same with TM in the lockdown season, he was pretty much begging for and looking resigned to the sack… of course this club doesn’t work like that, we weren’t going to get relegated, you have a contract, so just crack on will you.

I don’t ‘claim’ anything, those are the facts (obviously I’m talking Championship, I.e 2012/13 onwards by the way, the PL is always a different issue entirely). No, where have I said I expect to be having bigger gates? We lost nearly half our ST holders in the summer of 2012 after they inexplicably kept Ke*n on that summer (clubs normally keep the vast majority of their ST base post relegation, ours haemorrhaged) and we’ve never recovered. Totally to be expected when the team has largely treaded water ever since. So what do you do when we have so much lost ground to make up? Just wait and wait and wait and wait forlornly rattling around in a ground that often has 17/18,000+ empty seats until we miraculously pull off a promotion or do you do look to do something proactive about filling plenty more of those seats in this very long meantime? Alas, these owners have decided to employ people who are happy to wait and wait and wait and wait, revenue targets seem to be getting hit regardless, so that’s that really, why do they give a toss either way? But that’s a choice that’s being made, it doesn’t have to be this way.

Apart from the Coyle season our Championship gates are exactly where they’ve been since 2012 - c14k. This was pointed out to you the other week, unsurprisingly you ignored it. The away support is excellent, never said otherwise, but that’s a totally different issue. I certainly do understand the support, you are just struggling to understand the argument. I totally agree re success, if we got into the play off semi, would we see a big crowd? Yes, Wembley? Massive. Premier League? Would be just like the old days. Who would possibly argue differently? Every club is exactly like that. Success increases gates, true since time immemorial. However, 90% of the time clubs aren’t particularly successful, right now 90% of clubs aren’t particularly successful, yet crowds are stil booming across the game, ours aren’t. Surely you can see what I’m driving at?

You consistently miss the point on this issue, Christ knows why as it’s been pointed out to you on many occasions (and not just by me). I’ll explain again…English football is seeing its biggest league crowds since the 1950s… but not here. The vast majority of those clubs are doing feck all on the pitch either, not stopping their crowds booming. So why aren’t ours? You had the answer and the culprits banged to rights in your previous post.
