  1. You imagine it will be a trickle now (if not flowing backwards 😁) until a slight spike at June payday at these prices… unless some decent signings start arriving.
  2. Halved shirts are our USP, so for me we should have variations on that theme as our away kit pretty much every season…
  3. We did it until Swag arrived, didn’t we? ‘Premier Pledge’.
  4. Evidence please (as you seem to like asking it of everyone else) of Bolton and PNE being better supported prior to these big price reductions… anyone might think there’s a connection here. Oh and I won’t disregard your evidence like you are with everyone else when you are provided with plenty.
  5. A ‘case study’ was my shorthand for actual examples of reduced prices increasing gates at comparable local clubs… but you knew that. Well I think I do deserve it, just like you do John, that’s why we have a civilised forum here compared to most.
  6. So if we are better supported than those two it stands to reason that we’d have a bounce in crowds that would blow those two out the water if we reduced them to a sensible level - another reason to do it then! Sorry don’t get the last paragraph? Why wouldn’t an away end for a cup QF sell out?
  7. Oh I see, you are being purposely obtuse now. Think you know what I mean by ‘active case studies at local clubs’ considering the extra bums on seats at two grounds to our west and south, but however you get your kicks, John.
  8. He brought up the 4k thing, so a bit of a bizarre emoji to use 😁
  9. Swag won’t be convinced because it is not a dead cert to hit his revenue targets like 7/8k at his inflated prices, so he won’t take the risk. He has made that very clear to both the LT and FF. Why are active case studies at two very similar local clubs ‘nonsense’?
  10. Bolton better supported? Since when? 😁 Have a look through the history books if you want proof that that’s nonsense. Now you are trolling. You’ve asked for proof, we’ve given you two local clubs with similar fanbases *right now* proving it and an example here in a previous era - what more proof do you need?
  11. PNE have, Bolton have. One is knocking around the second tier like us, the other is in the third division. Last season proved the opposite, we’ve spent two seasons knocking on the door of the PL and the crowd moved upwards only minimally, that tells you that we haven’t got enough ST holders to see bumper crowds even when chasing promotion - why, price?
  12. Yes 4k, if PNE have done exactly that, why not us?
  13. It’s the knee jerk response you hear from a load of fans away from here: ‘no point reducing as we won’t ever sell anymore outside the Prem’… Bolton and PNE have well and truly shot that fox.
  14. We sold 7,000 in our early bird, PNE sold 11,000, so…
  15. Think it might just have caught up with George down the line….
  16. Of course you can, but you said he will be a success *because* he plays attacking football.
  17. I get the change, the Community Trust has a fairly large profile and it could confuse folk… but it is a bit of a cumbersome replacement.
  18. He’ll be a success because he ‘plays attacking football’? He won’t be playing Ross County and St Mirren now.
  19. Now Bologna away would have been a different issue, La Grassa! 😋
  20. You can make games as cheap as you want midweek, you ain’t getting a load of walk ons, ergo Reading, on a Tuesday night, in March, was a stupid game to choose for the only tenner offer all season, of course it wasn’t packed - though even that game was substantially busier than a normal midweek - why? Price. You make a weekend game a tenner, that will also be far busier than a normal weekend game - why? Price. Bolton stuck in League 1 now sell double our STs, PNE substantially more as a fellow Championship mid table club, why? Price.
  21. So this is what darrenrover has been getting up to since he was banned from here…
  22. LATD just won’t have that our STs, in this area, with our demographics, are even remotely expensive… so explain 8,000 sales?
  23. Of course crowds would increase massively on promotion. But these are straw men arguments folk are adding into the debate. Once again nobody is expecting that as a 7th/8th placed second division side we would suddenly see huge gates, of course we wouldn’t. We should however expect more, even in that far gone time of, err, 2019 we had 10,000+. After 2019 the club then decided to increase prices by hundreds of pounds as our local rivals all reduced prices markedly, said clubs are now selling between 12 and 15k in fellow mid table second (and third) tier. This club has pushed increases by far too much and the result of that policy is with us now
  24. We are by far the most expensive in this area, and that’s what matters. What clubs in far bigger cities, with totally different demographics do isn’t particularly relevant.
