  1. Still, half a million regardless. What a gig.
  2. Get Leicester to perform a miracle and he’ll have Category A++ twice with Everton too!
  3. Personally think the MGP thing is something and nothing. Football is a small world, owners/directors will be chewing the fat with ex players/managers all the time, Pedersen just happened to tell the media about a particular conversation.
  4. Glen’s view is definitely one you hear a lot at the ground (despite it being our best season in a decade). Would be a real blow if he goes as I think we’d see the best of his methods next season - but if he went today I doubt many tears would be shed across the fanbase.
  5. Ha not at all. But ok, ‘meltdown’ is a bit pejorative, but you get my point. A lot of moving parts for this to actually happen. So I’m still relaxed about it at this stage. And if he goes, he goes, if you appoint good quality European managers that are happy to be a gun for hire across the continent, you have to expect them to depart at any time, and I think GB knows that - he had JDT in the door very quickly, so all you can do is have ‘trust in the process’ that he finds another good ‘un.
  6. Then the Sunday Times says it’s Nagelmanm’s. Who knows? But there’s no point going into meltdown over Sunday paper still season stuff.
  7. No it’s definitely you… but then you were calling JDT ‘a dolloper’ who you wanted rid of until a few weeks ago, so who knows where you are coming from.
  8. I’m using him as an example of how JDT is not particularly popular at Ewood - so JDT leaving wouldn’t be particularly upsetting for many fans. Sorry if you are that triggered by an ex run of the mill manager you can’t understand that…
  9. Of course he’d be off like a shot. My point is Nixon has just gone for the easy angle as he is want to do, especially as I doubt a Lancashire based hack is particularly connected to the inner workings of the Tottenham and Feyenoord boardrooms -It is telling that no other paper is leading with the Feyenoord fella being the favorite for the Spurs job this morning…
  10. Who is if he went to a big club in the city where he still lives? The blame will be if they end up pissing about all summer trying to get a replacement. But GB had JDT in the door within days of arriving himself, so I’d be happy to let him lead any search. But all this angst when it’s *Nixon*, no other paper is pushing this angle.
  11. No, just for the sake of balance I just like to point out that the bloke is still pretty popular away from here when the board goes into one of its regular TM-related meltdowns - ‘ruined the club’, ‘worse than Coyle’, ‘I HATE him’ etc…
  12. Me neither, but plenty pine for him at Ewood…
  13. Would it? I imagine we’d hear a lot of ‘Glad JDT’s gone, boring football, but this guy is crap too. Bring back Mowbray’.
  14. They might, but a lot would just shrug their shoulders. Speak to regulars around you in August if he did go, I bet there wouldn’t be much hand wringing over it…
  15. A lot of hares running after a usual Sunday morning column filler by a hack… however The Sunday Times is reporting that Nagelsmann is still the favorite for the Tottenham job…
  16. Would there be much of a ‘meltdown’? From what I’ve seen at Ewood and on wider social media is that the fanbase hasn’t particularly warmed to him, a candle is still being held for TM by many (not on here, obviously!).
  17. So our Gregg runs a Twitter account in his spare time…
  18. He’s ok, and that’s fine for back up keeper. However, we are quite right to think ‘ok’ is not what you want to be going into a tough Championship season with in such a key position, especially when you have a far superior keeper already in the squad.
  19. Both clubs about to sell out already so definitely seen as value…
  20. Just imagine seeing sales trickle away to nothing and the solution is to *hike* prices for a second time 🤦‍♂️
  21. In a higher league at times, not bigger clubs…
  22. Got to say I think Don Goodman is an excellent pundit, really understands the game and doesn’t just talk in s load of platitudes.
  23. Proper football city, Sheffield. Two clubs in the second and third tiers and they’ve been pulling in well over 50,000 between them each week. Yet they get nowhere near the arse kissing that one club big city outfits like Leeds and Newcastle get.
  24. If we had finished 7th under a load of parachute clubs in the play offs then I’d agree we’d ‘over achieved’, but below Cov, Sunderland and Luton shows it was for the taking. Decent season, but even spinner-in-chief, GB, mentioned that we can’t ‘cry about budgets when you see who was in the play offs’.
