  1. No, just for the sake of balance I just like to point out that the bloke is still pretty popular away from here when the board goes into one of its regular TM-related meltdowns - ‘ruined the club’, ‘worse than Coyle’, ‘I HATE him’ etc…
  2. Me neither, but plenty pine for him at Ewood…
  3. Would it? I imagine we’d hear a lot of ‘Glad JDT’s gone, boring football, but this guy is crap too. Bring back Mowbray’.
  4. They might, but a lot would just shrug their shoulders. Speak to regulars around you in August if he did go, I bet there wouldn’t be much hand wringing over it…
  5. A lot of hares running after a usual Sunday morning column filler by a hack… however The Sunday Times is reporting that Nagelsmann is still the favorite for the Tottenham job…
  6. Would there be much of a ‘meltdown’? From what I’ve seen at Ewood and on wider social media is that the fanbase hasn’t particularly warmed to him, a candle is still being held for TM by many (not on here, obviously!).
  7. So our Gregg runs a Twitter account in his spare time…
  8. He’s ok, and that’s fine for back up keeper. However, we are quite right to think ‘ok’ is not what you want to be going into a tough Championship season with in such a key position, especially when you have a far superior keeper already in the squad.
  9. Both clubs about to sell out already so definitely seen as value…
  10. Just imagine seeing sales trickle away to nothing and the solution is to *hike* prices for a second time 🤦‍♂️
  11. In a higher league at times, not bigger clubs…
  12. Got to say I think Don Goodman is an excellent pundit, really understands the game and doesn’t just talk in s load of platitudes.
  13. Proper football city, Sheffield. Two clubs in the second and third tiers and they’ve been pulling in well over 50,000 between them each week. Yet they get nowhere near the arse kissing that one club big city outfits like Leeds and Newcastle get.
  14. If we had finished 7th under a load of parachute clubs in the play offs then I’d agree we’d ‘over achieved’, but below Cov, Sunderland and Luton shows it was for the taking. Decent season, but even spinner-in-chief, GB, mentioned that we can’t ‘cry about budgets when you see who was in the play offs’.
  15. The EFL will be rubbing their hands too, there will be hordes of Owls (or is it a parliament?) heading down to Wembley now instead.
  16. Ha I have, the day he went, although others on here…
  17. Just telling you what he said, TM was calling him ‘head of football’ at one point .
  18. He didn’t here either, that was up to Venus (along with real estate).
  19. He must definitely be on his way out then…
  20. Roverandout has just been triggered 😁
  21. Think Scott Wharton was mentally there with him.
  22. Of course you can go through the fixtures and say ‘if this’ ‘if that’, however to throw away two *consecutive* wins in just four days in the run-in with 94th minute goals will always be the killer week…
  23. A bloke thats a leader and offers experience in a squad seriously lacking it, pre match you would often see him talking things through with the other defenders etc. But just like Boro fans said, he would disappear for months in winter, so ultimately not someone you can keep around on his wages.
  24. All relative. Some of us now are the equivalent of the old timers who wouldn’t praise the heroes of the 70s and 80s ‘well they ain’t Duggy’. Dack is no Jansen, never mind Shearer, but if you are a younger fan who has come of age in this shit show of a decade he’d still be a legend for you…
  25. Oh they’ll definitely fill it, Luton is an hour from Wembley and Cov have a big floating fanbase in the city itself and across Warwickshire and other parts of the WM.
