  1. So? This season is showing that it’s all about wins.
  2. To be fair calling him a ‘League 2 Bellamy’ shows he is obviously warming to him, he wanted his leg broke the other week…
  3. To be fair, Nuttall forgot everybody after 1999…
  4. 11,500 home fans is fine for a night game on Sky when we only have 8,500 ST holders. Remember this time last season only around 9,000 home fans were attending night games. How do you get bigger crowds? You sell more STs, simple as that, always been how it works at this club. Indeed, substantially higher ST sales is the sole reason that PNE, Bolton are pulling 14-16k through their gates every week. And we know who is to blame for us not doing so…
  5. Got down to Ewood a bit early, Club Cash burning a hole in my pocket, so headed for the shop. To be met with a sea of grey and beige tat. Who on earth is in charge of purchasing?! They need to have a look at the likes of the Terrace Store and even Etsy et al. The present offering is real bargain bin stuff I would expect to see on a market stall. So shoddy.
  6. Weren’t they? Looking at 11v11 they had quite a few games between 2007 and 2013…
  7. I was talking to a Cardiff fan recently (I don’t work with him, though it was a work conference), and he has had to put up with three bubbles - Swansea, Millwall and Bristol City.
  8. I accept your view, but I disagree with it. Kind of the whole point of a forum…
  9. Debating like a 12 year old again, I see 🙄
  10. It was said with such certainty too. Grace Villa with his presence for a couple of seasons and then waltz into Anfield. 😁
  11. 1864’s mental gymnastics are something to behold these days. Strong stuff that tea…
  12. ‘My final year we threatened the play-offs’ Sure we were second in February…
  13. With them fetching a fair few I’d imagine an *announced* crowd of 14,500 or so.
  14. Standard modus operandi here, squeeze that core 8k for as much as possible…
  15. Indeed there is, and alas many of those are now well out of the habit and won’t be seen again. But there are also a hell of a lot that can’t/won’t pay £430 to £530 for second tier football.
  16. Around a quarter of ST holders bought 1875? With the only benefit being away priority… for a club that sells out an away game once in a blue moon? So a fantastically cynical cash in from the club preying on FOMO as that blue moon is on the horizon…
  17. Promotions out of the third division are rare because we ain’t spent much of our 150 years down there! (But yes, fair play to him for a quick exit from that god forsaken league, as other clubs have shown, it ain’t easy. But it’s nowt to crow about for Blackburn Rovers).
  18. In 2000/2001 we had kept hold of a big percentage of our PL support. Whereas Venky’s and Kean obliterated it in 2012, and we have never recovered.
  19. Come on O2G, gates are well up across the leagues. But they aren’t here. A ‘good’ Boro gate at this level is c25k. I’m obviously not expecting those kinds of crowds here, so it’s a pointless comparison. But they are seeing crowds at the higher end to what they have been used to. As is club after club in the top three divisions. But here over the past couple of years we are seeing crowds at the lower end to what we have been used to. 11/12,000 is poor, and we are capable of much better if it wasn’t priced at such prohibitive levels. As plenty of other similar sized clubs are showing.
  20. Don’t disagree there TS. But it needs addressing, urgently, but it will take a new CEO with a new remit to start the recovery.
  21. It’s a decent crowd for a struggling Championship club and another example of how crowds are booming across the top three divisions. Why aren’t ours?
  22. 24,000 for a team 21st in the Championship? Seems a pretty decent crowd to me…
  23. I’ll point you to my first paragraph in my previous post as to why. Get a new CEO in, one with an actual remit and plan to grow crowds and I may just do that.
  24. I will not engage with Swag because I don’t respect him or the job he is doing. His remit is not to increase crowds, so why would I waste my time? You don’t think they are daft prices? 8,500 STs is not abysmal? Then why did you bang on about how you were going to discuss your plans for ticket sales all week before you went to meet him? He dazzled you with a load of goss and ergo you enjoyed an afternoon at the club, your agenda firmly in your pocket as a result. It is the likes of Glen that can actually get something out of a canny operator like him. You were out of your depth unfortunately. I was actually trying to give you credit! That you actually realised that our crowds urgently need sorting. But hey ho, lesson learnt. I’ll just let you carry on in your role as club spokesman…
