  1. The 3rd may well be 8th soon enough (though I don’t see death spirals with this bloke, we’ll pick up wins on a fairly regular basis largely because we are very solid once in the lead), but once in 8th do we then sack the manager months into the job? Why, is that a sackable offence with this budget and set up? And why would he be sacked anyway as that team with a load of ‘development’ players (be they ours or other club’s) is exactly what ‘the club’ wants to see on the pitch...
  2. Not sure home gates are anymore an issue because of this manager. We all know why they struggle to grow. 12/13k home fans every week, pretty standard over the past few years (and far better than half of last season) and that’s with them more expensive than ever.
  3. He isn’t ‘clueless’ though, is he. He’s a ‘lot to learn’ to coin a phrase. But to have this ragtag lot as high as this, comfortably more wins than anyone below? And he should be sacked? I’m breaking my own rule of commenting in the aftermath of defeats, as this place loses the plot, but to read that managers should be potted after a few months when top end of the table with this budget and players? Take it the ones asking for his head will be getting the chants started at the next Ewood game?
  4. Mowbray and JDT obviously both knew what they were doing to have such average squads as high as they have.
  5. It was. Lots of sage nodding on here about his ‘midfield pathways’. GB spoke with a sense of professionalism and calm, no doubt, but this isn’t Norway, this isn’t youth football. He seems to be very naive about the realities of a long Championship season and what is needed to get through it - I.e experienced heads.
  6. Was it just last night that plenty on here were in full agreement that we shouldn’t be signing experienced midfielders?
  7. Surely it’s the opposite? Very bouncy personality, it’s his style of play that’s dull…
  8. It was better under Kean! 🤦‍♂️ Think this place needs locking for few hours after bad defeats (like in the old days).
  9. The ‘club’ want a side full of young, academy grads and ‘development’ players. How many of said types of players were on the pitch by the end? Ergo how much higher should we be? This is what the owners/the club want, feel free to remove this guy and GB will bring in another with the same remit.
  10. That era was a conveyor belt of mediocre loans that came and went without anybody noticing…
  11. The Marie Antoniette of brfcs 😁
  12. Think you know the answer to that! Bit like when all night games were supposed to be £20 behind the goal… until they realised they could rinse a decent Sunderland following. And now with Wigan and Blackpool midweek that’s half of the Cat A fixtures down the toilet… so how about you don’t decide on each game’s category before the season kicks off when so many fixtures are subject to change!
  13. So he is someone who has no issues sacking staff then?
  14. How the bloody hell is roversfan99 from Blackburn going to know that 😁 .
  15. Bringing in experienced players, perish the thought!
  16. Fair play to you for keep on trying but as the latest response shows you can only debate with someone that has actual comprehension and reasoning skills.
  17. You do make me laugh Mercer, if PNE had just bought him you’d be decrying our lack of ambition in contrast to that lot down the road…
  18. But as Sky call the shots with the EFL it wouldn’t surprise me if the Wigan game stayed where it was, the fifth round tie is then played on the Thursday and the Saturday game pushed to the Sunday.
  19. End of the day does it matter what managers come out with in press conferences? All a load of platitudes, which is to be expected when they have to face up to the media over and over again. Results, dear boy, results.
  20. Don’t disagree, but obviously roverandout thinks he should be in front of some of those in your list.
