Fair play to you for keep on trying but as the latest response shows you can only debate with someone that has actual comprehension and reasoning skills. -

You do make me laugh Mercer, if PNE had just bought him you’d be decrying our lack of ambition in contrast to that lot down the road… -
But as Sky call the shots with the EFL it wouldn’t surprise me if the Wigan game stayed where it was, the fifth round tie is then played on the Thursday and the Saturday game pushed to the Sunday.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - no longer Sweden coach

End of the day does it matter what managers come out with in press conferences? All a load of platitudes, which is to be expected when they have to face up to the media over and over again. Results, dear boy, results. -

Don’t disagree, but obviously roverandout thinks he should be in front of some of those in your list. -

Of course top players go on loan, but your examples were at a club at a much higher level, so not really a fair comparison. Is roverandout’s point not that he’s as good as any other player we already have at this second tier level? So should be in our team, not some L1/L2 team. Of course that’s debatable, and he may benefit from a loan, because if he should be playing or not, he currently isn’t, but it wasn’t particularly debatable that Kane wasn’t ready for a team chasing the CL as a teenager so needed loaning out. -

Usual platitudes from owners and directors about a ‘transition period’ and ‘it’s a project’. It isn’t ‘Abramovich’s Chelsea anymore’, yet they’ve spent £300 million in about eight months under this new fella! He keeps losing games at a club like Chelsea and he’ll be gone sharpish, simple as that. -

Considering we’ve had Steele and Walton as the main keeper here he definitely is someone that could end up as first choice (good enough or not). -
https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/january/12/lead-the-lads-out-in-the-emirates-fa-cup-at-ewood-park-/ You used to get a kit as part of the mascot package (£300), and still do at other clubs, now we have so little stock/so skint you can’t even apply if your kid hasn’t already got one of his own. There’s that small time operation again.

So why does the PNE manager who has them in 10th place ‘know what he’s doing’, whilst the fella who has Rovers in 3rd (and had six months less time in post) doesn’t? -

I get that we may not have seen the best of him as he looks like a fish on a bicycle at full back, but on what evidence would he be ‘cracking’ in midfield? -

Only 20 matches left and we’ve won *at least* three more games than anybody else below us. Not really a fluke by this stage… -

But records aren’t the same though, are they? As they don’t compete in the same competitions. So how can a female player ‘overtake’ a male player or vice versa? I.e, Rafa/Novak/Roger have been competing for a decade plus to be the GOAT male player with the most slams. Serena to overtake Margaret Court is the equivalent narrative. Surely it should be the same in football or it all becomes meaningless? The female game should feel strong enough as it grows to stand alone with its own legends and record breakers.
