  1. Can your career ‘fade into oblivion’ when you are nearly 38 anyway?
  2. Sounds great. A city break with some international football bolted on, what’s not to like? But if/when they get beat will folk actually being doing more than just an ‘oh well 🤷‍♂️‘?
  3. People actually get stressed about England?!
  4. Not on Sky by the way (City/Liverpool and obviously Man Utd), so it’s Tuesday 20th.
  5. Behave! 😀 In the 70s and 80s there were running battles inside and outside the ground. You don’t half talk some tripe.
  6. 35 lads out of 2300 goading the opposition at a derby… modern fans ay, would never have seen that in the olden days.
  7. FYI - Disagreeing with the decisions of individuals that happen to be temporarily in positions of authority at this great football club isn’t ‘negative’… whereas meekly accepting whatever crap decisions they happen to make over their transient tenure is much more harmful to this club of *ours*
  8. How I feel to an absolute tee. Great piece. Maybe it’s because I’m older, maybe it’s because The Record has long gone, maybe it’s because luckily I don’t know any Dingles, maybe it’s because *they* are the ones with all the dosh and expectation this season, maybe it’s because for the first time in a decade we seem like a functioning club (on the football side, not commercial- feck off Swag) so I can see the bigger picture. Whatever it is, I don’t feel ‘sick with nerves’, or feel like I’d have to go straight to bed if we get beat etc etc… whereas I certainly did previously! What will be will be and even though I hope to god we beat the insufferable bastards, that mini-Glazers financial model of theirs leads me to foreseeing us being top dogs again in the medium term and I can take an odd defeat in the meantime as we clamber back on to our perch. COYB!
  9. An extra 1500 or so home fans attended, so the Hudds gate was perfectly fine and worth the promotion. Not sure what else folk expected for a run of the mill November game that was only a few quid cheaper than usual. However, the half ST price, just like the full will make it bloody difficult to attract floating fans. £230-£280 for a half ST? Good luck with that in this economic climate! When is this long signposted Swag retirement actually happening? Because by god we need it…
  10. What they worried about? Don’t they know he’s a differentiator that can attract top players. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/frank-lampard.115799/page-912
  11. Because Swag feeds him a sob story and he laps it up…
  12. That’s football, I imagine every team could say the same.
  13. Why else do you think he’s a regular in that famous office? For the goss! (No sorry, ‘to discuss improvements’ 😉)
  14. Every tournament? Aren’t they players from 10/15 years ago?
  15. With only 8,700 ST holders that leaves c14,000 for match day buyers… you’ll be reight!
  16. *Went sour with Mowbray on brfcs…
  17. The club that can do no right, to the club that can do no wrong, what a journey.
  18. Must be some sort of fourth division old boys solidarity thing.. obviously not something we would know about.
  19. Ah but that was never actually the walk out song. It was a nice little warm up number at 2.50pm. Usually introduced by the great Gerald Jackson in the RR days, announcing ‘that soon the boys will be BACK IN TOWN…’
  20. You just know how he’ll have it cooked…
  21. So if they are ‘fair enough’ why do we have 8,700 ST holders, but PNE have 12k, League 1 Bolton 14k? Ha liar, you literally told us after the meeting that you didn’t ask him what you had planned and went on about all week before. (Because you were a rabbit in the headlights in the CEO’s office. But I’ll humour you anyway, so what changes has he brought in that you suggested?
  22. It’s because a decision has obviously been made to rinse the remaining core for as much as possible and feck trying to grow the match going support.
