  1. You hardly go to away games so obviously it doesn’t impact you, you can nicely settle down to watch it on your sofa, so what’s the problem? But guess what, it is an inconvenience to those that spend every other weekend travelling the country supporting their club and spending good money, I.e those Cardiff fans that now have to be up at 5am on NYD. How about thinking of those that show such commitment for their club for one millisecond? Yes, ‘it is how it is’, but because it has been ‘like this for years’ doesn’t automatically make it right and mean the loyalty of football fans is not being exploited.
  2. If they are a loanee it is a purely short term transactional relationship for both sides. Harvey Elliott and Morton, helping us to win football matches, whilst getting to develop as players, which is for the benefit of their parent club. Win, win. Whereas Clarkson, he wasn’t up to it, so he went back, no hard feelings, but that’s the name of the game with loanees, so if Hurst can’t step up soon, then why waste everybody’s time?
  3. I remember when it was just shelves behind a counter in the Nuttall Street and you’d just point at a hat or scarf… still better quality than the tat the ‘store’ has now.
  4. Remember when festive period fixtures were local/local-ish games? Now we have Cardiff and their fans having to get to Ewood for noon on NYD. The complete contempt the football authorities and their paymasters have for supporters has never been more clear.
  5. An England forum? Sounds horrendous 😁
  6. Nah, Wings for me…
  7. What are the factors?
  8. What’s your favourite song?
  9. Confirmed for Coventry… https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/october/31/rovers-can-confirm-that-tomorrow-s-game-against-coventry-city-will-take-place-at-the-coventry-building-society-arena--kick-off-7-45pm--the-club-would-like-to-thank-supporters-for-their-patience-and-understanding-over-the-past-few-days---tuesday-s-ticketing-and-travel-operation-will-be-as-originally-planned---fans-who-are-yet-to-purchase-a-ticket-for-the-game-can-pay-on-the-day-from-the-coventry-building-society-arena-/
  10. Travis and Nyambe. Lenihan is about three years older, Raya a couple.
  11. Maybe, just maybe, music is a matter of personal taste…
  12. *Fake Lancashire.
  13. Because the stadium is owned by a Wasps holding company that is about to go into administration. So not actually connected to Coventry’s own financial issues.
  14. He really wasn’t ‘rank awful’ though, was he? A steady eddy, but it had all got stale, so I think we all agree that it was time to move on. But some of the hyperbole he attracts on here is just strange and not reflected at all in the real world, where generally fans think he did a decent enough job.
  15. You seriously reckon Ossydave actually thinks we’ll stroll to an easy win? Behave.
  16. ‘Easy three points’ away at the side top of the league with one defeat all season? Obviously nobody thinks that, whereas plenty of yours do look as if they reckon promotion is in the bag already…
  17. What was Longers saying the other day? That their lot didn’t think they were up already? So see thread debating if they’ll go up with a record points total… https://www.uptheclarets.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?style=2&f=2&t=65241
  18. Their crowds have shot up the past few years (whose haven’t ay… oh wait!), so trying to move mid season to small grounds like a Walsall or Northampton will prove difficult with 12k or so ST holders to potentially accommodate (though how many would want to traipse across the midlands on a Tuesday night is a different issue).
  19. Sharpe has totally nicked his stats from this thread. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23087923.blackburn-rovers-bizarrely-brilliant-unusually-unique-season-far/
  20. Another one.. we’ve lost as many games as bottom of the table West Brom.
  21. Best get those half ST’s on sale!
  22. ‘It’s their cup final’ made my laugh, yeah real one way rivalry, this one 😁
  23. You know what as time has gone on I’m thinking more and more like that first poster. I’m a born and bred Blackburner but by luck or chance I’ve never really encountered Dingles at school, work, local neighbours etc. Work wise I’ve always come across far more Nob Enders who are a right bitter bunch towards all things Rovers. So I don’t have that fear that many others have re running into them at work, the pub etc. Of course I’ve always seen Burnley as our arch rivals, of course I desperately want us to win, but maybe it’s an age thing, maybe it’s because we are no longer the undisputed top dogs with a fear of losing The Record, but I can honestly say I’m far more sanguine going into this game than the previous ones.
  24. Yeah not sure they had short sleeves and matching collars in 1875 😀
