  1. Good job the club does the Goal of the Season before Easter, isn’t it!
  2. No, it was ‘Wee Duggie’, and merely ‘Coyley’. 😏
  3. Listening to Radio Lancs it certainly doesn’t sound like the journos and Kevin Gallagher are in anyway certain that he’s going…
  4. Great memories, yet can’t remember one this past decade (well apart from that time we got relegated to the third division).
  5. Difference being other billionaires use their clubs as a vehicle for glory, political clout, sport washing, brand development etc etc, so put their money where their mouth is… this lot? 🤷‍♂️
  6. Good little insight into football manager life there, very nicely remunerated, so can live the life of Riley between jobs…
  7. Sounds great! Putin, get yourself over to Pune!
  8. And that is less preferable than finishing 10th to 18th in the second tier in front of a two thirds empty ground with a team of loanees and journeymen, and still getting spanked 7-0 at home and putting in stinkers of performances at the likes of Peterborough, is it?
  9. Will we buggery! The top end of the PL is now full of petro-sovereign state clubs!
  10. End of the day is the PL now a big city/big fanbase closed shop? The fact you have had Watford, Palace, Burnley, Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford in and around it says not. Therefore it is possible to rise again, but not plausible with these owners.
  11. I can believe it! Feels like a lifetime ago that we were a PL club, indeed watching old clips I sometimes feel like I’m watching another club entirely…
  12. Well, I’ll believe it when I see it. Clubs like Man Utd missing out on the CL this year will certainly not help the cause of fairness…
  13. I read the other day that the coefficient plan is going to be dropped
  14. Today’s LT is largely just quoting TM’s presser, but Sharpe is certainly unequivocal that this is his last game.
  15. No chance he’ll go to a Hartlepool, League 2? His ego wouldn’t allow it. Like I put on a different thread yesterday, remember when he said he wouldn’t manage even in League 1 again as he ‘doesn’t enjoy it and it doesn’t fit his style of management’.
  16. The problem a lot of you have on here is that you struggle to realise that a lot of fans just want to watch a team in blue and white at Ewood Park. They aren't obsessives like the saddos posting on an Internet forum at 9.40pm on a Friday night, who pour over every development from Balaji Rao down. They see owners seemingly keeping the club afloat, they read about ‘X million pumped in’ in the LT every few months (the only place they read Rovers news), those cash injections the only thing keeping us from ‘being the next Bury’. They see a bloke who usually has the club bobbing around in second division mid table year after year, kept on year after year - so that’s obviously good enough for the club and the ceiling of its ambitions, and they’ve dialled down their expectations accordingly. You want to talk about who to blame for this atrophy? They all reside in Pune.
  17. To be fair, it isn’t just younger fans that don’t know any different that fit SuperBRFC’s description, it’s the vast majority of the match going fanbase. BRFCS is very much an outlier…
  18. Certainly doesn’t lack belief in his own abilities, bit like in League 1 when he used to say how his management wasn’t suited to such a low level..
  19. Big Club in a small town (c) John Williams
  20. Not even that, standard things like actually confirming the present incumbent is actually going a full week after he announced he was…
  21. The Vito storyline always felt a bit forced, good idea generally to delve into attitudes and how the Mafia reacts to to that kind of thing, but it didn’t quite work for me, but I thought the others you mentioned worked well. The film storyline was hilarious, any scene with Little Camine in it always was, people can forget how bloody funny the show was too. No show is absolutely perfect, always something to quibble about, but generally speaking, it was glorious…
  22. Incorrect Nuttall. An odd season there was c18k home fans, specifically around the mid to late 2000s, at times plenty more, I.e 1994 to relegation and 2001 to 2003. We also had c20,000 ST holders in the couple of years before Venky’s took over (we began this season with just over 7,000).
  23. However this area and country isn’t crawling with Plastic Madridistas, so frankly I couldn’t care less about any of that. #loscatorce
  24. That doesn’t mean the fanbase is small, it means there’s a shed load who are outside the tent after walking away over 12 years of mismanagement, so how about an ambitious appointment to help draw some back?
  25. Bugger that! I certainly don’t want to have to listen to Plastics who couldn’t find Anfield if you dropped them in Stanley Park talking about ‘7 times’ ¡Hala Madrid!
