  1. I’ve absolutely no idea and neither do you.
  2. You’ve got on your high horse this morning, but you wanted him sacked earlier in the season. After a couple of games from memory, that’s far more reactionary than someone wanting him gone on the balance of 40 odd games into his third full season. 5 years? Why not 3 or 2? The Championship is a fluid league, clubs often replace half their team each summer. 5 years ago is ancient history in Championship terms.
  3. We aren’t close to West Brom and Leeds. Surely a better barometer would be clubs like Millwall. Similar gates, but certainly not spending £12 million, yet every chance of the playoffs.
  4. Who doesn’t like watching players develop? Not sure how we differ there, especially when they are from our precious academy. (Oh and everyone wrote Nyambe off? Did they? I didn’t) We don’t cut our cloth accordingly, that’s the issue. We are attempting to play a ‘possession based game’ without the players.
  5. Our first choice back line and keeper cost zero in fees. Half a team. That to me is most strange when compared to the money splurged on just a couple of young, unproven forwards.
  6. I’m not particularly arsed about ‘good football’ ‘entertainment’. I’m entertained by winning. But come on Gav, you surely can’t think we a side that plays exciting, dynamic football?
  7. STs on sale Monday then? To try and catch up with the rest of the league who have thousands sold already. As presumably the club has been briefed and is prepared. Get that cash flow going. Or do we have to wait until the virus in a city half way across the world is under control?
  8. Don’t disagree, but I remember all too well how disgruntled the majority of fans were on his appointment. There are always managers out there. But this whole discussion is moot and a waste of everyone’s time, as he will be in situ for as long as he wants, with the possible exception of imminent relegation, yet even with that, the Waggott/Mowbray axis and his relationship with the owners is on the surface much stronger than anything our last few managers have had as a protective shield.
  9. Did you see Mowbray coming in ‘amongst the dross’ after Coyle?
  10. I’m just waiting for FFP to be scrapped, as our billionaire owners are ‘desperate to invest in players’, what a willy it’ll be!
  11. Poor signings, lop sided squad, numerous substandard players, average manager, dysfunctional club. I certainly didn’t expect the play offs.
  12. Of course we had injury problems, Dreams, but trying to make out it was just bad luck we couldn’t possibly deal with doesn’t wash. We lost Cunningham (who played a handful of games) in October, ample chance to bring in a replacement. Bell and Bennett are not Championship quality. Dack was injured before the January window opened. Holtby is a well known crock, you take a risk in his signing, then injuries for him are par for the course, yet lockdown meant he actually missed relatively few games post Dack. We have signed copious amounts of central midfielders, so Evans (another crock), whose form has always been inconsistent missing 15 or so games shouldn’t be fatal. The others are niggles. But as we do not buy defensive players, then of course we will always be on the verge of a crisis. You also can’t bemoan bad luck when perennially injured players continue to get injured. Why didn’t we reinforce in January? A team with real aspirations for the top 6 would’ve done just that. It is fairly obvious that the £12 million undoubtably meant we had no wriggle room budget wise, so that kind of goes back to TM’s poor signings and a lopsided squad he has put together.
  13. Who wanted to manage a club trying to stay out of League 1 with a poor Championship budget in February 2017?
  14. Injures are part of football, and losing your talisman will undoubtedly have a negative impact on the team. However, that’s why you have a squad, and a budget. £12 million on forwards should have given us the depth to cope with his absence, but with that enormous amount of money (for a club like us) wasted, then the buck stops with the manager for the poor form post January.
  15. I thought we were always ‘way down their list of priorities’, if the pandemic has pushed us even further down their list, then god help us next season.
  16. So our minimum amount of ST holders next season will be more than we have now? After a damp squib ending to the campaign, 6 months out of the ground, a small sales window, an ongoing pandemic and a massive recession? Well, it’s a view...
  17. It’s going to be a bloodbath sales wise. I’ve lost count of the folk I’ve come across in recent months, fans that have spent decades at Ewood, real dye in the wool Blues, that won’t be renewing. The only other time the mood music was similar was the summer of 2012, when Kean was inexplicably kept on and person after person was telling me they wouldn’t be back - and so it proved as our gates halved the following season.
  18. We can’t do anything Chaddy, but as we are in 2020, it still needs to be called out for the ridiculous set up it is and is why we won’t achieve anything under this regime.
  19. My feelings JH. The ‘project’, ‘slow build’ unfortunately goes nowhere in a league as relentless and competitive as the Championship with the added pressure of the FFP sword of damocles over your head. Pragmatists win the day, unless your ‘project’ is a total root and branch ground-breaking one as Brentford’s.
  20. ‘It’s their dressing room’
  21. To be fair Mark Robins has resurrected them, two promotions (without a ground). Now that’s management.
  22. Bloody hell Chaddy, players are ‘linked’ through agents leaking stories to the Nixon’s of this world, nothing to do with Stuart Harvey’s spreadsheets...
