  1. The empty seats thing is a red herring. We will finish with an average attendance of around 14,500 which give or take a few hundred either way is pretty standard for us in this league post 2012 (Coyle season aside). Venky’s are to blame for the thousands of empty seats.
  2. Sounds like if he hadn’t had by chance got a start against us this time two years ago he’s never have been signed. Reckless way to spend considerable club dosh, no?
  3. Saw Charlie boy in Lytham Costa this morning. Thought he was a youth player at first glance, barrel-chested centre half, he ain’t.
  4. Mowbray says he was allowed to sign who he wanted with the BB money, a few Championship ready players, for example, but he thought the best thing to do was to put the lot on a ‘development project’. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17568308.rovers-boss-tony-mowbray-happy-with-ben-brereton-progress/
  5. Yeah I heard that at Ewood t’other night.
  6. Tyrers the coach company that Bolton use for away travel are making people book with them directly for the Rovers game. Obviously don’t want any of their dosh going through the club. Can’t say I remember a situation this bad at a club so far up the pyramid for a long time - Portsmouth maybe?
  7. Reading the full article it sounds to me that it’s now Reed’s shirt to lose. But he’s doing his ‘looking after my fellow human beings’ routine in praising the other two. I await to be horrified at 2pm on Saturday...
  8. Quick look at their forums and half of them are happy for him to go. Coyle to the rescue!
  9. But it’s nearly Gentry Day! ?
  10. That massive flag of theirs often fills as many seats as the fans do.
  11. Conway’s crossing ability makes you remember just how good he was when he had pace in the Gestede era
  12. It wasn’t that most clubs would need it, from memory. More that they would need to be moved ‘regularly’ so not to ‘inconvenience them’. Still nonsense, as evidence from previous Championship seasons told him that Leeds and Preston aside, hardly any club needed more than the existing 5,500 allocation (half lower and full upper tier). Was always just an excuse to close it to home fans.
  13. I thought that was a fair comment. Last night for the first time, nearly all his runs were effective and cut right through their lines. Many times before he was more heat than light. If he carries on like last night, continuing to improve that final ball/shot, we’ve got a player.
  14. Watching the first goal celebrations, Graham looked towards the Blackburn End whilst pointing at him, ‘this lad can play’ was the jist. He did it again as they started to walk back to the halfway line. He should have been looking toward the dugout...
  15. Not really an issue, just think it makes Ewood look and sound even worse than normal.
  16. Playing the Dingles or someone bringing 5,000 or so? Definitely fill the top first and put the overspill on the bottom, splits up the following and is to our benefit. A midweek game against Derby, Reading etc. Those kind of followings don’t need ‘putting out the way’, get them downstairs and at least try and have the pretence that we aren’t playing on the moon.
  17. Also, noticed they’ve just posted the goal of the season contenders. Only 1 goal out of the 8 after New Year’s Day. Says it all.
  18. Proper rogues gallery. It’ll be like when Williams won it in the relegation season.
  19. On a night like tonight, with presumably a two thirds empty ground and around 500 people in one upper corner of an 8,000 capacity stand, just makes Ewood look horrendous.
  20. Derby in the upper tier tonight. Any idea why this experiment is still going on? Not exactly giving us home advantage, is it?
  21. Think it’s fairly obvious that the 12pm’s were the club’s idea, though the police were happy to oblige. They’ve just been rumbled this season and obviously didn’t like the backlash in the LT and on social media. O2G - If the folk on the forum think issues like shelves, postcards etc need raising, fine, they are the ones that turn up meeting after meeting. However, the minutes (to me) never seem to see much of a push on the FF side about potential attendance initiatives. Apologies if you do and the minutes don’t fully reflect the back and forth, they just normally read as flat batted replies from the club and then move on to other business. I personally think the 18-25 demographic and a PROPER singing section need to get pushed and pushed hard with the club, and if you guys don’t do it, what other avenues are there?
  22. No wonder Forest couldn’t wait to get shut...
  23. Fairly obvious he’s got himself out of condition: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17559288.rovers-boss-wants-dack-to-throw-himself-in-to-football/
  24. The banality of some of the issues that constantly get raised beggar belief when you think of some of the real structural problems the club has. I’m sure O2G has said before that 500 is about standard for half season ticket sales. The daftest thing is because 100 folk bought a Super 6 bundle ticket we can’t discount match tickets in the run in. For the piddling amount that were sold, why even bother with these bundles? Just keep a couple of individual game ticket offers up your sleeve.
  25. They didn’t want to be inconveniencing the Darren Enders by constantly moving them for all those 6,000+ away followings...
