This is how it will be unless we get new owners (no chance) or they don’t get promoted before the parachutes run out (a chance). Until then we are playing with collective arms tied around our backs so it is what it is and I’ll be shelving any thoughts of getting back on our perch until then.

Sell out with over a week to go (in our 31,367 stadium), crowd announced as ‘25,900’. So pretty much FIVE AND HALF THOUSAND below capacity. Ridiculous state of affairs and assurances are needed that it cannot happen again. For the agenda please @only2garners @K-Hod

Need to remember that this place does not reflect the wider fanbase, never has. Mowbray never got a chant against him in five years, he was often pilloried on here. JDT was worshipped at times on the forum, but he was only ever begrudgingly put up with at the ground. Eustace on the other hand has had the fans onside since day one. I like this place, it’s views generally match up with mine, but I don’t for one minute think it in any way resembles Ewood opinion.

Some folk on here don’t seem to understand fandom. Why do crowds wax and wane? Because fans are making decisions on what to do with their time and money on a yearly basis - if they don’t like what they’ll see they’ll withdraw it, was ever thus and they are still fans.

They randomly never put the front row of the Blackburn End Upper on sale either, so what’s that another 150/200 seats? Best to be on the safe side though, as otherwise you may have seen mass chucking of decanted Fosters into the bottom tier or something.

Every extra block that went on sale was sold in hours. The last release of tickets sold in about an hour. There are c800 unsold seats in home areas (never mind the Darwen End) and obviously still demand as it ‘sold out’ with a week to go. As for the police, Ewood is covered by the same division (East) of the same constabulary (Lancs) as their ground. They have a line of stewards within the same stand as segregation, we have c1500 netted off seats across three separate stands. It’s cop out from the lazy, complacent people that run Blackburn Rovers.

They were a team bouncing around the second and third tiers playing in front of a load of empty seats (in one of the country’s biggest cities) until Bielsa turned up, so they can get off their high horse.

To be fair they scabbed a win at Ewood last time with a goal out of nothing, we were well in the game - I don’t think the players will need telling.
