  1. Yep, the social media age has spawned this weird phenomenon where folk just can’t cope with ‘negativity’. That merely ‘being positive’, ‘being kind’ on the internet will materialise said positivity somehow, even for a football club with distant, rogue owners that we as fans have zero influence over. Now I’m buzzing with what Eustace is doing with this limited squad, what a potential club transforming moment we could be in as the window opens… alas, after seeing three January debacles in a row I sadly won’t be putting my head above the parapet expecting something different, especially when the owners are currently in court for financial irregularities every other month, that doesn’t scream January war chest for their neglected football club half way round the world to me… but if people are happy to ignore all that and to utilise some wishful thinking until 1st February before the inevitable let down, go for it, I suppose, but don’t try and paint those that have seen this story a fair few times as ‘negative’.
  2. Great deal for the Glazers… not sure too much of one for Ratcliffe.
  3. Ay listen both of you are nothing but courteous with each other which considering you go for it day after day says a lot… you don’t agree on much though!
  4. First time I’ve seen that on any social media this December … now I have Christmas has officially begun 🎅
  5. It’s obviously always a short gap for both teams on an away Tuesday, we however have made a dogs dinner of what feels like the vast majority of them since 2012 regardless of opposition and their tiredness/form. If JE can sort that out then maybe we could do something this season…
  6. Yeah the football he plays though 🤌 Still must be in pole position for the Barca job.
  7. Looked a pretty poor side for long periods of their game yesterday. PNE bossed most of it… but Tuesday night away after a tough game a few days before? We know the script, but Eustace has instilled a discipline and desire we’ve not seen under many managers here since this lot darkened our doors, so who knows.
  8. Is it actually two people? Have they ever been seen in the same place?
  9. Do you ever just agree with a ‘99 opinion? (I imagine if you do you keep it yourself, need to keep up appearances! 😅)
  10. I’d imagine most folk will have their big coats on in January. Also mods, could this just be merged with the existing Dingle game thread?
  11. Don’t know about being an arse, but all such phrases do is shut down debate. Tell posters they are ‘wrong, because…’, not ‘you are ‘negative, be positive’. But anyway let’s leave it there I’m not ‘99ers dad.
  12. So fine to have an opinion on brfcs still? Good to know.
  13. Not this ‘negativity’ stuff again. If ‘99’s view was Gueye wasn’t good when he came on, fair enough his opinion, but also fair enough if you totally disagree and tell him so. It’s a message board for opinions as you see them. The fans get behind the players home and away and that’s what matters.
  14. 22 matches out of 32 kicking off at all manners of days and times that isn’t Saturday 3pm. ‘The magic of third round day’ indeed.
  15. No chance. There’s 20,000 seats in the rest of the home areas.
  16. Banter with plastic Man Utd fans? I wouldn’t engage them in conversation about football.
  17. Lucky lad Crawley (50 Tests!) to be playing in the era he’s in. Just think of all the talented cricketers in the 80s and 90s that were jettisoned after a couple of Tests if they happened to get a duck after receiving a jaffer from a McGrath or Ambrose.
  18. If Rishton, BB1 postcode and a Rovers hotbed for 150 years is now a former non league club’s ‘territory’ instead, we may as well give up now.
  19. I don’t disagree it is what it is when you are in the Championship. A normal club, however, doesn’t sell the player if he’s not demanding a move and will let him learn his trade and incrementally increase his value. £18million wasn’t enough but in reality it could’ve been £80 million and we still wouldn’t have seen any (but it would mean an even longer period the owners would not have to pay their bills for).
  20. He’s a middling Championship player and he’ll be at a middling Championship club next season.
  21. Remembering that the majority of our fanbase now resides out of BwD, arbitrarily drawn council borders in 1974 should not define how you promote the club.
  22. Never received any abuse, fans have been great with him, just like they were when BB was terrible for years, just like they are being with Gueye who is without doubt one of the worst strikers I’ve seen in a blue and white shirt on current form. TD has put a shift in and some good performances throughout, so why would he be ‘abused’? Supportive, patient fans here.
  23. So like I said it goes round in circles. We sold at the worst possible time, I.e he’d only played 50 or so Championship games and we were a distressed seller, so Palace stumbled on a highly opportune moment as we had stamped ‘buy him, we’re skint’ on his forehead, £18 million was all it would ever be as we approached February 2024 with the state the club was in. And of course any funds we did get would go to pay the tax bill and the leccy on behalf of the owners, not to rebuild the side, ergo a great deal for Palace and Venky’s, a terrible one for Blackburn Rovers.
  24. Buckley doesn’t want it enough, he’ll blink and he’ll be in the lower leagues thinking ‘how did that happen’.
