  1. Sale Sharks called off their trip to Newcastle today on Christmas Eve and will almost certainly lose 28-0, but the opposition have been able to enjoy more of their Christmas and fans, unless they travelled early, haven't been inconvenienced.
  2. If you call a rugby match off for covid, you forfeit. Opposition get a 28-0 awarded ie max points
  3. I dont even go to Ewood but I'd take Rovers over England every day.
  4. Delighted with the win. I no longer attend Ewood, not because I'm boycotting per se, but because I got driven out by poor decisions by the club and a lack of consultation or at least explanation. I've drifted into doing other things at weekends and doubt I'd ever buy a season ticket again as it wouldn't represent value for money, but I expect I'll get to some matches before the end of the season. Still care enough to be checking result whilst wandering round Delamere Forest Christmas lights
  5. we'd probably have come at £20 ticket. Sale are on a bye week, and Clitheroe are away
  6. When I first saw him play for Clitheroe a few years back you could see all that. I came across the team sheet on the computer the other day.
  7. Would you talk about your employees to random strangers in that way? I'd never have expected my employers to do so!
  8. To be fair, I'm not sure Levy even tells the manager until he absolutely has to
  9. But for now we're stuck with Mowbray. If only .....
  10. Thing is, as you know I now get my live sport kicks watching Sale Sharks. Now at the start of the season they were saying our fitness levels were going to be better and st first here was no sign of it. But this week they faced Quins, current champions, lightning quick and undefeated this season, and they beat them. Not just beat them but right at the end, and Quins looked out on their feet while the Sharks players looked like they could have played on. Fitness training doesn't always pay benefits in the first match but as you get match sharp it should begin to tell. Clearly Rovers have got something very wrong as their fitness on the pitch doesn't seem to be improving with match sharpness
  11. Has he gone yet? Is there a shred, a glimmer of hope, that he might be on his way out?
  12. I was watching the score with that definite feeling that we'd lose. I've wanted rid of him for some considerable time. I didn't see the early part of the match as I was on a training course being taught to sack eggs so I only caught updates from 74 mins on
  13. I saw the result tonight and all I wanted to say was 'SACK HIM IMMEDIATELY '
  14. No. People were commenting on the pic on twitter showing Ewood at night. I think they're showing that because evening match prices are being reduced, that's all.
  15. Isn't the night time puc about lower pricing for evening games?
  16. Cheaper midweek tickets suit us as it would rarely interfere with anything else.
  17. I understood his interviews, but I was present when the ex player said it so I believe him. Maybe it was just when he got annoyed on the training pitch; I don't know but it was said by someone I had no reason to doubt.
  18. Would have been no point in shouting. According to a former player, nobody understood a word he said in training anyway and they just used to do what they thought he meant and rely on the coaches to put them right
  19. I'm sorry but it is divisive if you tell some people things, don't tell everyone, and then tell everyone that you've only told a handful of people. I don't care if you only consider that you can trust a handful of people. That's your right and I fully understand it. I wouldn't trust everyone here either if I had inside info, which I never do. But telling US, the unfavoured many, that you know something and now understand things better because of that but will only share with a select few is, even if you don't think so, creating us and them.
  20. My issue with that would be that we are all concerned Rovers fans and all contribute to the site. I know it's a question of who you think you can trust with info but to share with a select few things you then refer to on here and won't disclose details of, not even a hint of why you feel new found mild optimism, is somewhat divisive.
  21. Interestingly, Clitheroe are growing their crowd again. Season tickets at £30 for seniors. New covered areas. Improved refreshment facilities. Cracking match the other night v Marine. Very feisty and ended up with a 2-0 victory for Clitheroe who ended with 10 men while Marine only had 8. 2 on pitch fights. Almost kicked off in the crowd behind us. And over 500 on to watch it. Pie and peas plus 2 chocolate bars, a tea and a can of pop for £11.80. Good big hot pies too.
