Summer transfer window 2021.
Gav replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The one good thing that we've seen over the past 10yrs from Venkys, is they'll will not have their pants pulled down when it comes to selling players. I'm sure Mowbray is desperate to bring new blood in, we certainly need it, but if the owners valuation isn't met Armstrong will be going nowhere. These clubs know the number, Mowbray has been telling them for 6 months, pay it or find a cheaper option, its as simple as that. -

Sounds like Southampton can’t afford Armstrong, they should move along and find a cheaper option. -
Something needs to change in cricket around rain and weather delays. The weather at The Oval has been fine for hours, 6.45pm inspection, outfield unfit, game delayed until 7.45pm, another inspection, ground now fit and start at 8.20pm? If the grounds fit at 7.45pm get them out at 7.50pm, why does it take so long? Amateurish, something needs to change.

The beers always been crap, the prices have always been through the roof and the service awful, but more often than not the football made up for it.….

Brilliant that, great bit of commentary too, thanks chaddy.

Amazing what a win can do, its the first time in months I've enjoyed reading this side of the forum, some great posts, thanks to you all 👍 First hand accounts from fans that actually go to games, its definitely the way forward. Onwards and upwards.

Did you go? Or watch on teletext? I’ll take the views of the fans in the ground, most of which support chaddys view.
-
Brilliant write up, thanks for that chaddy. I’m sure you echo the sentiments of thousands of Rovers fans in attendance today.

Super 100 Joe Root, under pressure, what a great knock, his 1st hundred in this country for 3yrs.

It really doesn't matter what the gate is, or the apathy that pollutes every thread on this site, thousands of Rovers fans will be heading down Bolton Road this afternoon delighted to be back after over 500 days in exile, I just wish I was one of them.

Pales into insignificance, not even close Ulrich.

Anyone thinking we should forgive and forget, I challenge you to listen to Ryan Nelsons interview posted in the concourse of the forum. https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/34979-ryan-nelsen/ Ryan explains how his exit came about, no thanks, no goodbye, basically just f*** off Ryan after 7yrs service and club captain. Its a great listen by the way.

The worst day I have ever had supporting Rovers, nothing else comes close......

You’re watching on a free stream aren’t you? Are you just looking for something to moan about?

For thousands of Rovers fan tomorrow will be the first time they've been able to step foot inside Ewood for over 500 days, I can only imagine the excitement for that prospect alone. I can't make it to Ewood tomorrow, but I'm hoping for a thumping win against a Swansea side that made the play off final last season, we're miles off that level sadly. 1-1 draw

You'd have thought a £1m+ 3year contract would have been motivation enough to get him off the treatment table, sadly he's just another example of a modern day millionaire footballer that played the system, rather than fancied playing on a Saturday.
-
Much better than any letter, how about donating season tickets to the unemployed and many low income families across the region? Start to build up some community confidence and spirit that you've destroyed over the past 10yrs.

New Order tickets booked for Halifax Peace hall in September, as long of Covid stays away!

Sorry LD, but you don't score almost 30 goals in the championship with low footballing intelligence, whatever that means. Is he as good as Josh King? Josh King robbed a living here, refused to play, but made a decent fist of it at Bournemouth when he took his head out from up his own backside, pace and an eye for goal. Be interesting to see how he progresses, I think he'll do ok, I just wish he'd sod off and allow us to crack on.

Sorry J*B but I don't agree with that at all. The game against Oxford, with all the cheap tickets flying around? It was a tremendous sight to see Ewood full, but that lot could have turned nasty very easily. Even for our mild mannered lot, it could have been a tough day for Balaji and king fu panda. -

Balaji Roe has just been seen leaving Barcelona airport, no medallion, man boobs, no Centenary Attaché case and no shirt on his back. A fool and his money are soon parted...... Messi to City anyone? -

The former England manager who arranged it was bent, brown envelopes everywhere, bungs and would only buy players where he personally benefited from future sales and they belonged to 1 agency, otherwise he wouldn’t deal with them. Not much different to today really, but the club was in the Premiership, so hardly anyone gave a toss. -

I don’t think he does need replacing bluebruce, we go with what we’ve got. The defence is where we need to strengthen, if a decent manager walked in the door tomorrow he’d be after defenders, that’s where you start and manager after manager has failed to fill those gaps. Big Ben and/or Gallagher play upfront for me, we strengthen from back to front. 28 goals last season and we finished nowhere, that tells it’s own story.
