I’d try and get Bowler before Thomas. -

Deflated. Not a set of bollocks on that pitch today. Not a single player able to control a game. Not a single player capable of being responsible. -

Don’t tell Sparks but I wish we had Whiteman. He’s a big boy but can cover distance and move the ball well. -

3-5-2 for me given Ronnie's injury, our leaky defence and need for a firm midfield. Kaminski Carter Hyam Wharton JRC Morton Travis Wharton Brittain Dolan Brereton Hope to catch them on the break... -
Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?

The company Rovers use to provide finance is very very low-risk, it’s verging on inaccessible to a lot. -

I think I'd probably start Lewis OBrien to get a hold of the midfield and I'd definitely replace Gallagher with Kone. -
They had Marcus Coco in the Directors Box last night. So we can safely assume he’s likely to be here next year.

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/crystal-palace-keeping-tabs-on-blackburn-rovers-midfielder/ This is very much true - although it’s a crap source - and for those who can be bothered I said it was months ago.

I make that the fourth player in three years to stop trying once it became apparent they weren’t signing a new deal yet some fans still encourage keeping them in the previous transfer windows. Let’s be absolutely clear: If a player isn’t signing or being offered a new deal when they have 18 months left they MUST be sold.

We couldn’t get anywhere near the money needed for either. “Take a punt” on a 20M pound rated striker? Honestly…
-
Couldn’t agree more. Could well be a loss today.

Agree with @Tyrone Shoelaces , this with Dolan instead of Szmodics.

My flags been nailed to the mast for a long time now and it says: ”There’s no chance of us finishing in the top six and even if we did it would be worthless because we wouldn’t beat third, fourth or fifth. The squad isn’t strong enough but JDT is capable of creating a promotion capable squad.”

3: if we drop him now someone will pay semi-decent money in the transfer window for him

I’ve had plenty of different opinions over time but the only one I can see any sense in nowadays is that 300M really is sod all to them. There’s no other rationale reason for them to keep spending this much money. They seemingly bought the training ground off themselves for 16M because we were struggling during COVID. Most owners would consider Admin, not pay the wages, sell the players. Not Venkys.

I’ve seen JRC play absolutely dreadfully at right wing back, central midfield, right wing, left wing and as a number 10. I’m still not entirely sure what position he’s playing but I see no reason to change it, especially to move him somewhere where he’s only ever been crap for us. -

It would have a huge knock on effect for the way we play too. JRCs success is based around the fact that Carter moves over and covers his space. I guess you could say Hyam would do the same, but Carter does it very well. -

Was it a draw? Felt like a loss. Regardless, I said we won’t beat them and we won’t. -

The same reason as last year when they beat us at their place at this stage of the season. They’ve got a midfield that can fight and a striker that only needs one chance. -

And Ayala, and Dack… We won’t beat Coventry, Preston, Burnley, PNE or Millwall. We’ve got statistically the hardest run in, in the league. Needed to beat Birmingham and Huddersfield to have any hope. -

I’ve seen JRC play terribly for Rovers in plenty of positions. The ONLY position where I have any faith in him is where he’s been playing under JDT. I can’t find any reason to play him in some of the positions suggested. Kaminski JRC Carter Hyam Pickering Travis Wharton Hedges Szmodics Brereton Dolan. -
5 minutes walk from the Chinese - although it’s a vegetarian Chinese now. Disaster.

Kind of true - Scott lives on the same road as J*B.
