    I don’t know what it is, but it can’t be a football thing IMO. He’s not had a chance on the pitch to show whether he can or can’t do what is required. When he’s played for the reserves he’s played well. When he’s played in the first team he’s always had an impact.

    I remember standing next to you at Coventry away last year, as we held on for dear life after Wharton put us ahead with 8 minutes left to send us into the playoffs. I said “I know what happens next here and it’s not good”. They equalised in the 98th minute and that was the end of the playoff dream. I’m putting it on record, I know what happens next here too. 1-3 Sunderland. The WLWLWLWLWL continues.

    Sunderland have no strikers, they’re playing 3 attacking midfielders across the front at the moment. Needs to be a 3-4-3 or a 3-4-1-2, can’t be playing 5 at the back when they offer so little threat. Kaminski Hyam Phillips Wharton Brittain Morton Buckley Pickering Dack Brereton Gallagher Would be my team, but I suspect he will start Carter ahead of Phillips, put Hedges central midfield and Szmodics instead of Dack, like… Kaminski Carter Hyam Wharton Brittain Morton Hedges Pickering Gallagher Szmodics Brereton.
