The 5 mil come from cos that would striker would cost to replace BBD's goals. Someone like Jerry Yates from Blackpool would cost that. I am sure they will be players on free transfers who have the quality we want but whether they will come here I don't know Every transfer window is difficult and we are better place than we were last season in terms of recruitment and how we selected our targets. Of course we would have done our homework on signings which not really. I will remember BBD and what he did here I think its always be in his mindset for him to sign a pre contract with foreign club for the last 6 to 9 months -

thought you didn't listen to Alan Nixon? not my club but I'm surprised with the timing given last week they allowed Appleton to sign 2 players. last week defeat at Watford seems to force their hand at a change. spoken to Friend who is die hard Blackpool fan and he not over keen on McCarthy but he sees it a short term solution to stay up then re-evaluate in the summer depending which league they are in. -
If I feel Rovers need to be criticise then I will but I won't do it just to point score on here. Morton was signed to play here regular whilst Garrett and Wharton develop as part players this with the aim of being regular first team squad players next season

Yes we have a head of European Scouting Luke Griffin at the club. -
We haven't allow BBD to run down his contract has we offered new contract before Christmas. Plus no offers were near our asking price. Morton has played well this season overall. We currently 2 loan players and maybe adding another loan. Is that effective? not really as it has allow Garrett and Adam Wharton to experience the league whilst not be expecting too much from them. We have to play and introduce the young players at times when need without be over reliable or expecting too much from them. i think some people are expecting far too much from Adam Wharton at this season.

Don't we know you won't stop saying it. It depends on how much money would be invest and would we got a good enough replacement in. Also bids on deadline day were pointless. Never going to be accept us. We having one loan player to replace one who left us. Maybe the player we want isn't available to the Summer or his club wants too much for him. Plus depending on what the budget and whether you can get a quality player. You suggesting signing BBD and signing 3 players but then you are increasing the wage bill which might be over budget. Plus can you sign a quality replacement in this window. Big questions and none we really have the answer to as we don't have access to the budget, what is going on the behind the scenes transfer wise, plus agents, clubs and players demands? Fair enough. I judge him on all 6 departments no transfer window is easy ss you make you it sound. I don't know if you what the transfer documentary yesterday on Sky one at 9pm last night but what a brilliant insight in football and how clubs, agents and players work in transfer window and before. I understand your point about BBD but if clubs want to get him on the cheap then no chance. Plus you got to look replacement's cost and can you bring in the required quality. You are talking at least 5 million for a quality striker to replace BBD's goals then you need a left side midfielder to replace him position wise. In the summer maybe we can do it cheaper or have a bigger budget than this season. We see in the coming weeks and months We currently have 2 loan players at the club. Garrett and Wharton will replace Morton anyway long term. I think BBD will sign a pre contract with a Spanish club. Probably in the near future it will be announce. Said this in the summer also. Ayala will go but if we sign the Hibs defender haven't we already replace him plus Carter and Phillips backing this up. hardly a rebuild at the minute looking at it but GB and his team will be planning for next season already or should be despite the January window being open. what are his strengths and weaknesses -

few decent players. for example Barlaser could be target but Rotherham aren't selling yet despite offers from Boro he isn't for sale. We need to be looking at the free market from leagues in Germany, Belgium, Scandinavian, Austria, etc. But also emerging talent players from Europe and North America -

No club reach BBD's asking price. How many times do we need over this before you actually willing to accept the point? How will it be reset button in the summer again? Brentford finished 5th in 14/15 season, 9th in 15/16 season, 10th in 16/17 season, 9th in 17/18 season, 11th in 18/19 season, 3rd in 19/20 season, 3rd in 20/21 season so you are judge basing your judgements on transfers and not everything he is responsible for within the 6 departments, appointments to these positions, etc? All sounds very easy that to be honest but you haven't taking into account whether the wage budget can be increase?, what sort of quality can we sign? would they all be permanent signings? who paying Brereton asking price and does BBD want out or maybe he is signing a pre contract with Spanish club in the coming days/weeks? -
Like I said before I'm not getting into pointless debate about Jack Vale. I done before, its goes nowhere. We won't ever agree and no point debating with you about it

people get better job offers with more money or better role you move on. You can't blame owners for that. Just normal life -

Most of the current recruitment staff wasn't in place for the last window as many scouts left during last season and the summer. and what a waste of money he was for Chelsea despite his record in the PL. He was never the right fit for them before they signed him before So why don't let Rovers get on with it instead of complaining cos we aren't sign anyone yet. They will be plenty of reasons why we haven't sign anyone yet. People need to patience So what are going to judge on when alot of the work he is doing will be in private away from public? -
Made some good runs in between the centre backs/full backs, drop down to allow Gallagher for him one on one with keeper. He did fine yesterday, did you not see the game yesterday?

We are 6 months into this project so why don't you have any faith in him. Since he has come in we have brought in head coach, head of recruitment plus a number of other staff with the football set up, decide we need head of European scouting back. What do you want GB to do? -
Yes. I like Vale. You don't rate him. fair. we won't agree on him but do we need to discussing it on here tho. No we don't cos its utter pointless. I would start either Vale or Dolan but depends if we bring in a striker this week.
-
Markanday plays from the right. You witness that yesterday. He isn't a striker. BBD plays his best from the left but yet you want then both up front with no width and given that Bristol City play 3-5-2 would make it easy for them. You could drop 3 or 4 very easy from yesterday starting 11

Thanks. Don't most strikers now come drop deep someone and then run in behind someone. I take you would prefer more than target man type then to be a focus point of the forward line Yes you could sell him and bring in a couple of players but does the wage budget allow this which is the same as last season. Can the wage budget be increase if you sell BBD to bring him 2 or 3 players? This is the sort of problems most clubs go through. How much could we spent on replace BBD which would need 2 players. A wide left player and striker. So how much can you spend on both in terms of fees and wages, etc. What type of quality is around. Does BBD want to go? maybe he wants to sign a pre contract with foreign club for the last 12 months. We just don't know I think he will move to Spain in the summer and I think that always been preference thanks for reply. We need our front players to press from the front. The quote was we have healthy budget compare to teams without parachute payments. We spend between 4 to 5 million in the summer. We might maybe spend 1 million this window. -
Who supply the width on the pitch? full backs? Stick to playing 4-2-3-1. Markanday would start on the right. Diaz on the left. either Vale or Dolan up front that isn't good news.

I would start Markanday and Buckley at Bristol City on Saturday
