  1. the bids in the summer were far too low to considering selling him. would you have really sold for 8.4 million or 6 millions with 4 mil of possible addon's?
  2. And he was badly wrong with his decision. This is why I would like to see ex pro's or players who don't make it at professional level into refereeing profession as they have some knowledge and understanding of the game
  3. I think it was clear that JDT and Rovers would make a certain number of changes for fringe players and players to get game time in the cup games.
  4. Of course we will have our target lists and we should stick to the plan. Who out of the players that have moved so far do you think we miss out on? Given that Hull boss know Ebiowei from his time at Derby it was always likely to be going there. We don't even know who we want and what position yet. Maybe Lowe or Dembele aren't even targets for us. Rovers will have a number of players on a shortlist for each position. Not much busy is done early at this level like every Summer and winter windows.
  5. The recruitment team has been in place properly for around 2/3 months now. I'm sure we have a number of targets and I suspect most of them will be foreign players playing in Europe. We only need a couple of signings in January depending players departing in January
  6. not really, cos you know that JDT would make a number of different changes to the team for the cup games so you accept that to be the case before you buy your ticket just like today game against Norwich
  7. Yes but people are interpreting the rules different and that's the problem with football. VAR is just making it worst and I would like it out of football full stop. Also why is the no camera angle to show that Wolves 3rd goal should have stood? we still see weekly mistakes from VAR officials on a regular basis.
  8. We simply don't know what is going behind the scenes tho. We don't know who targets are and whether we have made offers for them and still in negotiations over transfer terms or loans terms
  9. so VAR is the problem cos its still down to people opinions of the rules. Its not like cricket when its out of not. clear rules Salah goal was similar to Everton one on Friday night. one given and one not
  10. Preston are bringing in Everton striker Tom Cannon. Barely played any football yet. They brought in Parrott in the summer who is again young striker who scored 1 goal in 13 games.
  11. I still think selling him would have a negative impact on the club chances of getting a top 6 place and playoff place. If you are going to sell him then you need replace him with left side attacking player and striker aswell What type of player is Hakon Evjen?
  12. Nunes wasn't offside. One of the problems here is that the TV cameras wasn't in the right place. I am not a fan of VAR and yesterday decision isn't the first time we seen get it wrong
  13. Rovers want 15 mil for BBD and that's the asking price https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/20972437/newcastle-everton-west-ham-leeds-ben-brereton-transfer-blackburn/
  14. Blackpool were very good today from what BBC Radio Lancs were saying. shame that the Blackpool game won't be on a Saturday now Forest put more than enough quality in that team whether its was with summer signings or players who got them promoted last season.
  15. Shearer is the best striker I've ever seen in a Rovers. then probably Roque Santa Cruz and then Matt Jansen/Mike Newell. You forgot about Yakubu I wonder if its Hamer from Coventry. Could be overseas target maybe He will release the story in the morning as he always unless the Sun publish it on their website tonight
  16. He scores at Premier league level already. 24 goals in 49 PL games for mid table team. Sounds like he is good enough for top 6 team now
  17. Sure I didn't recommend signing him at all during the transfer window
  18. All the managers apart from Ancelotti have seen a declined in league position whilst spending millions and millions on players. Until you back and stick with a manager and give him a couple of seasons plus have a coherent transfer plan and policy you will keep going backwards. I would stick with Lampard for the rest of the season and that my opinion.
  19. Posters on here have said we had money to spend more than Mowbray was saying publicly. Who were these kids strikers then? Why didn't he take a risk on one? Why didn't he go back in Maja who was available in January given we could afford him in the summer so why not the January window given the budget is set for the season? Biggest fan? I did think he deserved to see the season out since he got in the playoff hunt but still him being one of the main problems why we didn't get top 6. We finished 15th that season with Armstrong, Elliott, BBD, Gallagher and Dolan. Season 20/21
  20. interesting move. Will be interesting to see how it goes for him.
  21. I don't the full story on this betting irregularities and if they are right. I think Toney would be good addition to those squad. I have outlined the problems at Everton and the fact the problems are bigger than Lampard and the players but the owner and his trigger approach to managers(similar to yours imo) and lack of coherent plan from him. They have wasted a lot of money over the last 6 years. Has the trigger approach to managers work or not? I would say its made it worst and the biggest problem at the club. The players are playing for him as tonight performance shows.
  22. He wasted Giles and Hedges should have been in the team earlier than he did. He balls it up last season by his stubbornness and unwillingness to adapt and change tactics and how we were playing. Mowbray overthinks the game at times and that's this biggest downfall for him Who says we could only sign a kid on loan for the Striker position? How do you they didn't provide the funds for him to allow him to sign more players than he says? The owners allow Mowbray time and patience to build a team and the fact he finished mid table with Armstrong, Elliott, Gallagher, Dolan and BBD was that really good enough?
  23. Thanks. Didn't Everton have scouts at the Cardiff game watching BBD? I wouldn't take Kharda back. Too much of a show pony for me. I wouldn't mind Hardie as he seems a goalscorer from what I seen which is limited. Wouldn't cost much. Who would you like us to sign? We will have to see if he leaves us for another loan somewhere else.
  24. Players are working hard to me so that point seems invalid to me.
