January Transfer Window.

There is new rules coming in about wages that clubs can only pay so much of their turnover on wages -
Fine if you think its flawed logic but Broughton explained the club logic and reasoning in great detail and explained their(GB and JDT) thinking. Morton has played mostly cos he has deserved to this season but we have seen Garrett and Wharton played ahead of Travis and Buckley based on performances this season so your logic is wrong here cos JDT picks the team based on performance in games and training. No cos no one is expecting them to start regularly apart from you, but to play more of part in next season with the aim of pushing to be start regular the season after. This is where Short term and medium term thinking come into to play. Would that not me that 2 centre midfielders would miss out on being involved in the 18 match day squad. Its a fair point to be honest you make and not one I really thought about. Maybe one of Carter or Wharton will leave in the summer or maybe we will play with a back 3 more next season tho.

I have told you before what Vale offers as others have. You just can't or won't accept that opinion. Why do we have to have the same debate very week about Jack Vale cos you can't accept that some people rate him and can see what he offers I said in the summer that Jack Vale was good enough to be part of our first squad this season based on my opinion of watching him for a number of years through Rovers under 18's and 21's. So that sort of disproves your last point doesn't it? No he moves out wide to create space but you won't give him any credit tho will you? -

save face? do you really think that matters to me cos I can tell it doesn't. If I am wrong then I wrong as I have no problem in admitting it. Doesn't bothered me one bit. I have my opinions and I will stand by them They are in mess largely by keep sacking and hiring new managers season after season meaning in more transfers and money spent with any clear strategy or plan from owner or board. Its been a mess there for a number of years. Sacking another manager won't solved the overall issues there That's fine if that your opinion -

Not watching so can't on the game or his performance. no one met the asking price as we have already discussed and those offers were poor tbh. what happens if BBD didn't want to move on. Would you have force him out? I would keep him for the season and if we get the playoffs and chance of promotion this is been well worth it. Now you could argue selling him would give us a chance of signing of replacement if we can bring in the player we want and for the money we have plus depending on wages and that budget. -
Well if you fathom it fair enough but its very simple to understand it. The GB podcast explained it very clearly and simple If you listened to what GB says a 27 years old player would want 3 year contract on big wages where has Morton is only here 1 year and less wages, plus it allow Wharton and Garrett game time without being over reliant on them. Then next season they will know what the league is about and can play more of a part in the squad.

I watched Rovers every single week and if you look at the goal yesterday he plays a part in creating the space for Morton to run into and the cross to Dack. How do you know Mark Atkins doesn't watch them regularly? I made this point this morning but several people have actually overlooked his involvement in the goal. Shocking comments Vale is a good finisher. Create chances and he will score goals. You have made several quality points on Vale and I agree with every single one. -

They are lining a move for Sheff Utd forward Ndiaye from reports. Sheff Utd need money to remove their embargo. One of Everton's biggest problem is this constant change of manager season after season which has lead to problem of facing relegation and buying players season after season with no clear transfer plan or strategy from the owner or board which is another big problem there. I think its between 8 clubs who go down now. Wide open still and depending on who these clubs sign in the next 9 days -

Bollocks Gav. Have you actually listened to the Gregg Broughton podcast where he talks about a squad 22 players with 6 up and coming players training with the squad but Phillips and Adam Wharton played more football in the opening weeks and became part of that 22 man squad? Good players who would improve our starting line up only become available in the last couple of weeks of the window after their club sign a player. Who have we really missed out that would improve us in this window? very few players. People like you saying the management structure needs sacking is baffling and tbh I do wonder what type of people skills you had given you said you used to managed people in your line of work I would guess any move isn't set in stone yet and he will decide which club he will join after this game. Problem is what happens if he pick up an injury which keep him out for period of time would put teams off the deal and meaning Hibs get nothing -

I wouldn't sack him myself but actually make 2 or 3 good January signings that will keep them up. Messing around sacking him right now is wasting time and Everton need signings in attacking areas not more mess and disruption to the club. Massive problem at the club in all areas of the club. After watching their game at West Ham last night on Sky Sports at 8.30pm, I felt that Lampard went too defensively with his starting 11 and I would have gone with attacking team with Gordon in the 10 role with Gray and McNeil Wide. Plus Holgate in centre midfield for Gueye. Plus Dropped Mina for Gordon and go 4-2-3-1. -
What is your point? Gregg Broughton has explained the thinking over signing Morton on loan so I have no idea what points you are trying to make here again

I listened to the game on Radio Lancs with Bayes and Mark Atkins commentary team. I have watched the extend highlights this morning on the game on Sky Sports Football channel this morning. I usually watched the game on Sunday Morning on Rovers TV. I think we need a striker with pace and box striker who can poach and score goals Rovers legend Mark Atkins gave his opinion on Vale performance so I will take that one thanks. On Vale, if you look at Rovers' goal its his movement out wide then drags Bristol City defender out wide creating the space for Morton to run in and cross for Dack to score. 5 Rovers players should have done much better including Vale, Morton, Ayala, Kaminski and Scott Wharton. Vale should have fouled him but after that Morton is weak in the challenge and Ayala should have done better then half turned his body in trying to block the shot. Kaminski should have done better with not pushing it out to the middle of the penalty box. Scott Wharton didn't react to Kaminski mistake. Only 2 players who did which was Dack and Pickering. -

we can't sell BBD if he has agreed a pre contract can we? Given that he is playing for Hibs today would suggested he hasn't decide anything yet and why would that buying club allow him to play for Hibs today if terms were agreed? Its seems that we had our bid accept and we had Porteous for talks. JDT was talking about him at Thursday press conference which is strange for him to talk so openness about a signing. -

What a series of bizarre comments here. Of course the players are playing for JDT. You say this shambles but we are 4th in the league yet people on here are calling it a shambles or JDT should go. He ain't a striker just like BBD isn't You mean like a Danny Graham type? -

his movement is improving and the way he took his 2 goals shows there is something there. Mark Atkins said today that Vale was doing a job for the team instead of being the number 9 striker -

Really? what are your high expectations based? I think you yet again are being over critical of Vale. He is learning and develop. Didn't we spend money in the summer and we will continue to develop and bring through our excellent talent academy players Brereton Diaz isn't a main striker. -
