Don't care who they appoint as long as Rovers made an ambitious head coach and sporting director appointments. I think Burnley will look towards Mike Duff or Joey Barton

Carvalhal worked at Sheffield Wednesday with a transfer committee there. He got 2 top 6 finishes there. Farke has 2 promotions from this league and that what we need to aiming for. I just not sure Ainsworth can take us to that sadly. Also not sure Ainsworth's style and tactics would be suit our squad Well that would be my first question to him if I was interviewing for the Rovers head coach job. But I just think he is the right man for the job right now. We need a manager who can get us promote within 2 season of taking charge. Just more excuses from Mowbray IMO. To be honest, I'm pleased he's gone now cos his excuses, moaning and sulking will be gone.

Well done Leeds and Newcastle on relegating Burnley back to the championship. Welcome back to the Championship. They need massive decisions over the finances of the club and next managerial appointment plus the playing squad decisions. Yes Burnley have to pay back a loan of 65 million pounds back now. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10783901/Burnley-slapped-65MILLION-fine-relegated-2026.html

Man City to win the league, Spurs to finish and Burnley to go down -
Well that is Alan Myers opinion. We might agree terms with a foreign head coach but have to wait for them to gain an UK work permit. Does his style of management suit the head coach role we want here and does his playing style/tactics going to fit our current players like Buckley, Dack, Dolan, Markanday, Dolan, Gallagher?

You made alot of good points there JH. Yes I agree we need to appoint the right people for these roles and need to correct experience. I am in favour of appointing an experience head coach like Farke or Carvalhal. Then someone like Stuart Webber from Norwich who might be leaving Norwich shortly or Steve Hitchen, the former Spurs Director of Technical Performance and chief scout there in the sporting director role. I am hoping we can get both appointment done before the end of May/start of June. Lets wait and see Yes I know what our recruitment and scouting department contain but I know they are still scouting and analysing potential signings. We need a Sporting Director and Head coach in place to make decisions on potential signings tho we only need around 6 to 8 signings this summer.

How do you know he will have no influence? and I thought you were in favour of this structure when we discuss previously? How do you know we aren't getting the head coach search right? another one of your low blow dig at me. Its almost a weekly thing. And just for the record I wouldn't be happy with either of them. Now both applying their trade in Scottish football. I just think a Sporting Director head coach structure suits the club and its works at many clubs like Norwich, Brentford, Forest, Huddersfield just to name a few people. Have QPR replace Warburton yet? Have Burnley replace Dyche with a permanent replacement? Its took Newcastle nearly 3 weeks to replace Bruce with Eddie Howe and they interview several candidates before picking him despite billions and billions of pounds ownership

The recruitment department will have identify players already and will continue to work on scouting players. It's important that Sporting Director and head coach get on and work together. No Sporting Director will force signings on the head coach but sign players that fit into head coach tactics and the type of players he wants for the position we need a signing for. Head Coach will have a say in who we target but the sporting director tends to decide the player. maybe we are waiting for a certain candidate to leave a club? This will be discuss in interviews but most people will want to bring in 2 or 3 people with them but keep 1 or 2 people who are familiar with the club and know the players like Souness did when he came in with Tony Parkes. I think we the new head coach will be allow to bring in his own number and goalkeeper coach but Johnson will stay on.

I know and I was dead against the club selling the land off to developers. Its didn't happen. If Rovers wanted to build a brand new bigger training ground complex like the one Leicester City owner has built with massive investment whilst keeping our investment in our cat 1 academy I would be in favour of it as long as its done properly. I want to see Rovers back in the premier league and that's why I in favour of appointment of Farke or Carvalhal who can take us to the PL again cos Mowbray couldn't do it despite 4 years of trying.

I'm sure Waggott would have been watching potential people he want to interview for the head coach and I'm sure they have been people who have put their CV's who Rovers have not thought would be interest in the job but are. I don't see the problem with interviewing few candidates and see which one fits your club model and the footballing strategy going forward. QPR are doing very similar I believe from reports

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

I agree there. Another name would be Callum Brittain from Barnsley -
Firstly Gav, we want a head coach not a manager like previous appointment. Rovers are going for Sporting Director/head coach model and I think it will be the right way forward for our club and something that should have happen years ago imo. So Gav, we need a Sporting Director and Head Coach who can get us to the PL within 2 years. There is 2 outstanding candidates for the job which are Daniel Farke and Carlos Carvalhal IMO. Can't think of many other candidates who I think would improve us and make us promotion candidates for the next couple of the season. I agree that Ainsworth isn't the right fit for our head coach model and we need to look elsewhere. Carlos Carvalhal has said he wants to manage in England again and given that lack of PL jobs currently, his next move is a championship club with promotion ambition and aspirations which Blackburn Rovers should be and we need someone who can build on last season failed promotion chance that Mowbray couldn't maintained. He will want a budget where he can make signings that will improve our squad and take us to the next level which is promotion. We need around 6 to 8 signings plus play a playing style that suits our players. You mention the financial aspect of Rovers but given that we are likely to have a decent transfer budget but most championship clubs silly spending days are over. I ain't expecting tens on millions to spend but I think a budget of 6 to 10 million pounds mainly coming from The Brereton sale money is very realistic and should be offer to the new managerial setup to bring in those signings. Also Gav, we do have a Scouting network at the club so please correct this.
