January Transfer window 2022
chaddyrovers replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Ex-Celtic loanee Oliver Burke 'wanted' by Blackburn from Sheffield United in January transfer swoop (thescottishsun.co.uk) I was fan of Burke in his early career but in the last few years his career has stalled. Probably down to moving to WBA and where managers there didn't probably used him. When you sit back and look at how we play, Burke would fit our system and style of play. He is very different player to Maja, and Would Maja fit how we play and have the work rate need for our team. I -
Just watched the first one and its very enjoyable and interesting.

Dike from Orlando. Surprised it a permanent move not a loan. Guess Hugill will go back Yes it was. Brereton improved last season alot and since the first lockdown he has improve and improve. His all round game as improve and now such a key player for our team Hope he gets plenty of game time there and can perform well enough under Keith Hill there. -

I wouldn't be surprise if Ranieri get sack soon at Watford. Hasn't had much of an impact there. -
I agree with that completely as most new signings will need time to settle in and how they played
-
It was planned visit and the club cleared organised the meet which was outside with the fan and Ben Brereton. Plus Brereton is tested everyday and the fan who have need a PCR test to enter the country. Everything was done properly This stuff going over the top now.
-
Well given that you need a negative test or covid passport to enter the ground. Its safe enough. Plus Brereton would have had negative test day before the game
-
All depends for who they sign in January and whether they is any manager changes Will Watford change manager again given that Ranieri hasn't improved the team much. Wouldn't surprise me if Fonseca or Diego Martinez was appoint as his replacement.

Rich Sharpe discussed Rovers potential transfer window plans https://youtu.be/vtcYhelfxIw -
He play one of 2 striker roles when played but Mowbray doesn't play the front 2 like Wilder or O'Neill does. Mowbray asked them to play wider and track back. It's has worked so far. I think Gallagher will get between 10 to 15 goals this season.

Correct. He was their best player on Wednesday night. He got 18 months left on his contract. But no idea how much he would cost tho.. -

Boro set to sign Connelly from Brighton and it appears that Wilder will recalled Spence from Forest meaning they get a problem at right back now. That could have major impact on Forest promotion push https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1110088955?-46315:24928 -

Well given Lukaku's comments looks like man who isn't enjoying playing Tuchel or his tactics. No surprise tho. I never understand why they signed him anyway or for that money. Crazy the way Chelsea spend money -
not sold out and they were available buy online yesterday(31st December)

I thought we were the better team and this was tough game but we again grinded the result out and stuck together as one team. The fans were fantastic and we need stop believing in our team or players. This team represents what Rovers badge stands for. I am so proud of the players and Mowbray for this run and this unbeaten run thats put us within a good chance of top 6 finish if not more. COYB! 🔵⚪ -

January Transfer window 2022

No its not misquote but when he says young striker I think he was talking about looking at signing striker around the age 19 to 22 and coming in January and learning how we play for next season whether we get promote or not. Who that could be I really don't lnow Agree with your comments . His wages would be well over what we would play and I would questions his fitness and the ability to fit into this team where it all about work rate, closing down, running and team work which isn't strong point. avoid All down to the cost involved in the deal like wages and signing on fee even if its a low fee. Plus would Fulham sell to direct rival for the top 2 spots. I would look at Barnsley right back/wing back Callum Brittain. Had a good game against us and remind me of Ben Marshall when he played the right back role for us. Also think he could make the set up to PL football if we got promote -

I agree there is further problems then Root and Sliverwood. I read an article saying that Root wants changes to the county 4 day championship format and more emphases on them from next summer and beyond. Yes I would get rid of Sliverwood. I would keep Root as Test captain. The 4 day county cricket is played at the wrong time of the year and the game isn't produce quality players, pitches or the correct test for these players. We still haven't produce quality spinner since Swann. I agree that Giles need replacing and still don't think he was the right replacement for Strauss and your suggestion of Atherton is very good suggestion and one I would be in favour or even in the role of National selector as Atherton has seen plenty of County cricket and knows the game inside out. Giles was wrong for getting rid of National selector role and given Sliverwood all control which is too much of big role for one person. I would go for Alec Stewart as test coach and Paul Farbrace or Paul Collingwood as one day/20twenty coach. Stewart knows the coaching and county game inside out and I think he would been appoint had he not pull out for Family reasons. I would also go down the 2 coaches route now due to the amount of cricket out there. Far too much for one main coach now

Premier League season 21/22

Agreed. I heard Tuchel complaining about the schedule and lack of players he can pick from despite he had a bench of first players like Havertz, Sarr, Alonso, Barkley, Ziyech, Kante, etc. He has massive squad there plus under 23's players pick form. First half was good but second half was dire. Burnley had chances to get something from the game but missed them. They need 2 or 3 signings in January window Both teams can sign players and any players Newcastle players might not fit enough and train enough to make a impact before the next game
