That's the one ... We tried something similar a few years back with blue shorts but never really liked that version
-
I saw a couple of the Mid 80's style yellow with blue pin stripe shirts at yesterday's game , forgot how great that looked
-
Never really liked this years home strip , the blue I didn't particularly mind it was the big black sponsors logo that spoils it for me , assuming next season we will have the same sponsor I hope it looks better on a darker blue

Wow .. Pretty damning stats . I like Mulgrew think he's been a good player for us but I put him in the same category as Bennett and Conway .. Thanks for all you've done but time to move on
-
Ipswich keeper ?
-
Would love to see him back in a Rovers shirt , however I think if that were to happen it' would probably be about 10pm on the next transfer deadline day on loan ?
-
I wouldn't be adverse to keeping Smallwood and Evans , they're both adequate squad players in a perfect world we sign Reed Travis keeps improving and we add someone to the middle of the park who can pick a pass that would leave Evans and Smallwood 4/5th choice if they're happy with that so am I , Gladwin can go for me , and injuries permitting loan Davenport out

According to the ever reliable Wikipedia he signed a 3 year contract in July 2016

Competition Rovers Player of the Year
AJW replied to RoversClitheroe's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Difficult one as I don't think any one player has played well for the who,e of the season , I think you could make a case for the likes of Dack Travis Raya Lenighan and Nyambe's but all have either missed large chunks of the season for one reason or another or have just not been consistently good enough .... My vote goes to Reed for his input his energy his never say die spirit even though he's isn't technically our player with Graham a close second -
Stay ... Admittedly I am a supporter of Mowbray but yesterday I did feel myself questioning his line up , his tactics and his substitutions, for me some difficult decisions have to be made over the summer , players who 1) have been good for but sadly are coming to the end of their to end of their career with us 2) just aren't good enough for this or the next level we want to go to 3) he's just shown loyalty to new blood is needed not a new manager
-
As much as it would disappoint me to see Dack leave I concede that the team needs an injection of 4 or maybe 5 new players and that has to be financed somehow ... What concerns me is that we sell Dack and don't get the 4 or 5 players we desperately need we effectively are worse off than were we are now
-
Of course Mowbray is going to back his players , did you really expect him to be Honest and say ". yeah I have got these players that I know are not good enough for this level any more , perhaps they never were , and we really need to replace them in the summer , in fact I would rather play lads from the u23's that's this lot " i am am going tomorrow and fully expect a whipping no matter what team Mowbray puts out
-
Think next season he will play less , I am sure a new striker will come in over the summer
-
Downing , Gladwin , Conway , Williamsand Hart ( even though he recently signed a new contract ) , Personally I would keep Evans and Smallwood although I couldn't honestly say they would be in my first time when everyone fit and available , the same could be said for Graham and Bennett . Mulgrew is a funny one for me , as a player I really like him , nobody else at the club can produce from set pieces what he can , he's a leader on the pitch and offers that bit of class with the ball but what has been proved this season is that he really struggles when Lenighan isn't alongside him , he is a footballer and he needs someone alongside him to do the Physical stuff

South London shopping spree with Millwalls Jake Cooper and Pape Soure from Palace as well would suit me

7 players inducted into inaugural hall of fame
AJW replied to Bigdoggsteel's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
7 is a stupid number ..why not 8 or 10 ... Unpopular choice but I would have Tony Parkes in before Brad Friedel -
The pint on the concourse is lovely
-
I respect Mowbray for that , I think we all know of managers that would have been like a kid in a sweet shop ion deadline day if money had been available , the fact that having known this club as been under transfer embargo before coupled with his idea of bringing the right characters as well as the right footballers keeps a steady sensible hand on the wheel . Yes I think we'd all like to see an extra player or 2 but that will wait now til the summer
-
Sounds to me like we may miss out on all 3 for one reason or another , wonder if there's a back up to the back up list ?? Scott Hogan has gone to Sheff Utd (he'd have been ok) but somebody earlier posted the amount of forwards they already had , I think Leon Clarke is on his way to Wigan but what about Washington or Mcgoldrick ?? If it's a loan til the end of the season and it's to take the pressure off Graham , they wouldn't be the worst of options then maybe re-visit Gallagher Austin or BA at the end of the season.
-
Is it Possible that Waggots trip to the north east hasn't been as successful as he'd hoped and moving on to the next on the list ? Hence the Austin link ??
-
Not that I am doubting Madons info but I just cannot see us signing both , I think it's more likely that 1 is a back up option for the other . If BA is unhappy at Boro because he's being played out wide or he's not getting as much game time then , from his point of view , what's the point coming here , if he comes here along with Gallagher
-
I think we can win at Brentford too
-
Push for playoffs ? On today's performance I see absolutely no reason why not , I've been looking at the fixtures and we've Boro and Derby to come to Ewood and Norwich to play away that's it out of the top 6 .. and if we manage to add Chapman and Gallagher that can only make us stronger
-
Yes and I've said this before Gestede would be a good option on loan to begin with , i wouldnt start with him but certainly have him as an option off the bench as he can be effective for us in both penalty boxes , and while we don't have Marshall and Conway on the pitch like last time he was here , set pieces from Mulgrew would certainly have a new dimension with him in the team
-
Well ...you've convinced me
