  1. We have blocks 119 and 120, bottom right hand corner on attached stadium plan. Some of the seats in 120 are restricted view because of a couple of supports on the adjacent main stand to the left. Celtic season ticket holders are virtually everywhere else and the game is included in their 22-23 season ticket, so hopefully it will be a good turn out. When I tried to buy online, it was only letting me buy one ticket and only giving me the option of restricted view. I rang the ticket office and bought over the phone. Got two tickets in the unrestricted view section.
  2. Just had to Google, ‘What Is a NFT? For anyone of my age or similar (64), don’t bother. It may as well have been written in whatever language they speak in Borneo.
  3. Spot on Tony. We’ve been told there’s a ‘healthy’ budget but do we need to sell Brereton to fund the (non loan) acquisitions? Can we keep Brereton and still have funds to improve the team in other areas? Just watch some club come in for him at the death and leave us snookered.
  4. Just ordered two tickets for the Celtic game. The online system was only letting me order one ticket and saying that restricted view tickets only were available. This is not the case as I phoned the ticket office and bought two unrestricted tickets together. Just so everyone knows if they struggle with the ordering process.
  5. Mill Hill blues following England in Jugoslavia, 1987. Seen on a Facebook site.
  6. For those that won’t buy it, for one reason or another, how about this classic instead? Toffs £52, everything that a Rovers shirt should look like in my opinion.
  7. Celtic’s forthcoming home friendlies are included in their 2022-23 season ticket, so there should be a decent crowd on. My lad went to Rangers for the friendly 12 months or so ago and I think he said that Rovers took around a thousand, so I would expect similar at Celtic Park. For ease of segregation, I think we’ll still get the full corner, even if we most certainly won’t sell all the tickets for that area.
  8. The away fans sections are 118, 119 and 120 (bottom right hand corner) depending on demand. The away fans last season were usually given section 119 or sections 119 and 120. I think we will get the whole corner which, from memory, is what we had in 2003.
  9. The tickets for the Celtic game have, today, been finally put on their website. Prices start from Adults £16 with Concessions at £10 and are generally priced at these amounts, rising to £21 in some areas.
  10. What train you on Nick? Ours is the 9.00 from Preston, gets in at 11.30 ish, so it’ll be a taxi to the ground but we can grab a pint or two after the game. You too, Andy, if you’re reading this.
  11. I can’t see this as being correct. Where did the info come from? All friendlies still confirmed on the Celtic website and still being advertised on Celtic tv.
  12. Celtic have had their six pre season friendlies (including the Rovers) arranged for some time and, If I remember correctly, have had some sort of bundle out to watch these on Celtic tv. I’ll be fecking pissed off, if the Rovers game is to be cancelled, because we’ve had our train tickets sorted for a couple of weeks now.
  13. Tide went out for me and kept on going out. Hasn’t come back in yet. I must have been the cause of the tsunami.
  14. I once went to watch one of the youth teams, away at Bury, purely because Duffer was playing. He was something else.
  15. He certainly is, TS. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of weeks ago and chatting to him for a short while. Still lives locally and a very nice man.
  16. Some good photos on the Memories of Blackburn Facebook site detailing the funerals/burying the coffin that took place at Bamber Bridge when either Rovers or PNE were relegated.
  17. I reckon we could get to 13k+ despite the owners. There are still 27k home fans out there as evidenced by the Oxford game in 2018. Get the price right and folk will come. The 27k was a one off but shows that under certain circumstances, big crowds will happen. Some of the ‘lapsed former regulars’ and ‘now and again’ fans have to be enticed into being season ticket holders by two things. Success on the pitch and a sensible, affordable price, commensurate with the current economic climate, especially in an area like East Lancs.
  18. Just seen on a football related Facebook site that Borussia Dortmund’s season ticket price, for the coming season, on the ‘yellow wall’ behind the nets, is Euro 240, or just over Euro 14 per game. That’s £218 per season. Very affordable, top flight football.
  19. Has your wife :- (a) Stopped speaking to you? (b) Stopped sleeping with you? (c) Stopped cooking for you? (d) Left you? (e) Gone to live with your best mate? (f) Gone to live in Burnley? (g) Booked an appointment with her solicitor? Asking for a friend 🙂
  20. Just watched the two interviews. Both Jon and Gregg come across as intelligent, articulate and share a sense of optimism. What’s good to see is that they both smile and look like they genuinely want to be here. You would like to think that Venky’s have given them a true assessment of what is available in the form of a kitty for, at least, the first two transfer windows. Even if that pot of money is only say a few million, each window, and they know they’ll have to work on bringing in cheap youngsters and developing them, together with utilising the loan market. It would also be nice if they have been given the green light to keep Brereton, should he be persuaded to stay. Well that’s the football side of things sorted. Now for the CEO and commercial side. Wouldn’t it be good to have people in those positions with similar intelligence, optimism and common sense and have the whole club singing from the same hymn sheet?
  21. Imagine we were to appoint someone with these credentials as a former player and current manager.. Played in his home country for a number of clubs, all lower league clubs, none of whom would have been known by anyone in the UK, won nothing. Coached/managed a team in the 6th tier and took them to the 4th tier, essentially won nothing of any note. Then managed the reserves of a top flight team for two seasons, essentially winning nothing. Imagine if Waggott and Venky’s were announcing that candidate as the next Head Coach of Blackburn Rovers…everyone happy? Well, that was the position Norwich City and their supporters were in a few seasons ago because that man was Daniel Farke. What followed was..up, down, up, down, then sacked and off without a backward glance. Let’s give JDT a fair chance (assuming he is appointed) rather than sticking the knives in, well in advance. On paper (yes, I know), he’s as good as we could expect to get in my opinion.
  22. To be fair, TS, he is Danish and has either played or coached in Holland, England, Italy, Germany, Spain and Sweden. He would also have lived in all those countries with the possible exception of Sweden. I dont think he’ll have any trouble living and moving his family to England, should he be appointed.
