  1. It’s still the chance of Premier League football, in what is a short career, and I think our financial situ will result in us shepherding him off to Croydon, (or elsewhere).
  2. Clearly a possibility. Probably down to the last embers of the number crunching now.
  3. Careful now, Garrett. We don’t want to finish with ten men. On a side issue, is Steve Parkin a John Coleman tribute act?
  4. Well done Sammie. He should’ve scored the first chance, but it was behind him. Might be safe if we get a couple more in the second half 😉
  5. Yes, it was a great save, but that doesn’t make up for letting a soft goal in. That goal has changed the game completely.
  6. To be fair, it is Welsh coverage, (hence they want Wrexham to win), and they’ve been respectful about Rovers.
  7. How we need the afterglow of a win this evening, because, imo, the next few days could be grim.
  8. I’m not going tomorrow for the same reason, (working at 5:30 am on Tuesday). Who knows, there may not even be a game tomorrow if the weather forecast is correct.
  9. I’ve worked in Liverpool on two occasions over the years, and my colleagues were nearly all Everton fans.
  10. That is amazing from Hartley. I’ve seen a lot of him for Lancs and, got to be honest, I didn’t think he had that in him. He does have a very good temperament, and no doubt that helped his recovery in this game. Thought we were looking at another one cap wonder, to add to Kerrigan and Parkinson. No chance of that now 🙂
  11. There are funds to drift along (and downwards) until the end of the season. Hail Venkys.
  12. JDT might give a nod of approval, but that is a world away from the traditional managerial role of deciding who to buy and who to sell. I think team selections often illustrate how JDT views some of our incomings.
  13. It's clear that many people can't distinguish between a manager and a head coach, and see JDT as the former.
  14. Who knows, maybe the picture has changed since @J*B had the tip off?
  15. I’ve just read that article and the clear subtext is “get it sorted”. Oh dear!
  16. Yes, like the one a couple of years ago, supposedly from Balaji, (my ar*e).
  17. As others have said, Wharton is more likely to be given a decent chance of first team football at Palace. If he goes to Newcastle, (or another bigger club), he will likely rot in the reserves and get loaned back to the Championship. For all those people knocking Palace, (and yes, I was there in ‘89), we would do anything to be in their shoes.
  18. I disagree and think the evidence is pretty clear. Batth is a good example. The owners have meddled in football matters from the off, and it’s one of the reasons we (and they) are in such a mess.
  19. No, they wouldn’t, and this is why it was merely reshuffling the deckchairs when they changed the model from manager to DOF / Head Coach. Broughton and JDT have no real autonomy.
