  1. Wonder who the "executive" was that Nelsen refers to?
  2. But why can't the manager see that? It's clearly not getting the best out of the player, so why would the manager persist with something that even the average fan can see isn't effective?
  3. Bloody flighty buggers, anyway! Who needs 'em?
  4. Fairy nuff. Gallagher was such an iffy signing. Never impressed under Mowbray and did sweet eff all on loan at Brum, but didn't stop us splashing £5m on him. Then Mowbray proceeds to play him as an outside forward. Bizarre.
  5. And Brereton hasn't been a monumental failure? I think you're being a silly goose.
  6. It's always tomorrow. The same excuses were trotted out for Bowyer. Even when it was blindingly obvious he was a bottler who couldn't break that glass ceiling into the top six, some fans still wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. "Next season! Next season will be the one!" We blew our best shot of going up by sticking with him too long.
  7. Damning with faint praise. Bin the lot of 'em.
  8. One goal shouldn't change a thing. Let him go and spend the wages elsewhere. Let's see what the fabled European scouting network can find in the summer.
  9. That's absolute nonsense. There is never a bad time for a £170m cash injection. I wouldn't care if we got tanked every week.
  10. £12m spent on striking "talent" and Golden Graham is still the only capable forward at the club. Shocking.
  11. Yup, just like Bowyer he shits the bed when we're in spitting distance of the playoffs but finishes strongly to paper over the cracks.
  12. Must be disheartening when you play well in the U23s and still can't get a look in. Meanwhile dross like Bennett and Gallagher are ever-present.
  13. Even if we haven't got a pot to piss in next season, there's always free agents in the summer. No point keeping the likes of Samuel who have shown they can't cut it.
  14. That'll teach people to be optimistic! And I say that unironically.
  15. Nothing will change until Venky's are gone. Don't let the semblance of normality beguile you, we're still a basketcase that is being run by agents on the down-low.
  16. Formerly, Key Sports Management Ltd, who were bought out by Wasserman. Chapman and Downing are with the same agency.
  17. You brought Dack into this. Gally and Brereton have both been major flops by any yardstick.
  18. All the more reason that £12m should've been better invested, eh?
  19. This post should be pinned on here. Dark forces.
  20. Every managerial appointment is a gamble. Some of the biggest clubs in the country have hired managers who looked the perfect fit, but for whatever reason they never clicked. Whether it's someone who's been around block or an unknown quantity, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
  21. They say "never go back" and historically managers never seem to have the same impact when returning to their old stomping grounds. Mark Hughes would find Rovers a different animal than the one he remembers, and vice-versa.
  22. Wait, what? Smallwood got a contract extension?
  23. Venky's have now owned us longer than Uncle Jack did, despite being the very antithesis in every way. What are they still doing here? What could they possibly be getting out of this? Do they actually own the club or is this just one giant ponzi scheme for footy agents?
