  1. Regardless Mowbray shouldn't have been going public with it.What purpose did it serve? Two days prior to that interview he was telling the media Rothwell going nowhere.
  2. It COULD mean that like you say.So why are you making out the people who believe the owners put a stop to Rothwell moving to Bournemouth are stupid? That's the issue Iv got with your post. You have absolutely no idea what communication the owners had with the club over January... neither do I.Difference is I ain't calling people stupid for following what the manager said to the press.
  3. After 2 years out injured I very much doubt Dack has any big move in the pipeline.
  4. Complete guesswork. So why did the manager say they did say no? You do not know if they did or didn't speak to the manager or tell whoever at the club Rothwell wasn't for sale but you are stating as fact they didn't. If the owners like you say have stopped all communication then who gave the go ahead for company to be set up in their name to buy the training ground and lodge 16.6 million into the club?Did Mowbray or Waggott forge their signatures? Mowbray stated 2 days prior that Rothwell was definitely staying then changed it to Rothwell wanted to leave but the owners wouldn't sanction it. You have absolutely no idea what communication the owners have with people at the club so why do you state your opinion backed up by no insider information as fact?
  5. I'm not Rothwells biggest fan but none of the players have covered themselves in glory in this latest death spiral. Imo the only 2 who have shown any consistency in this spell have been Van Hecke and Kaminski. It was a no win situation whatever they decided to with Rothwell not saying you but are you telling me if we sold Rothwell in January brought a couple of others in and we still went on awful run and dropped out of the playoffs people wouldn't be saying " stupid owners our best chance in years and we go and sell one of our better performers this season to a direct rival in Bournemouth" People can maybe rightly critise the owners for stepping in and interfering in a football decision but they had given the manager their decision and it should have been kept in house, instead we had the manager creating drama by going public trying to force their hand which was never going to work. We were second at the time. What sort of message would it have sent out to the fan base selling him to a team at the time we were in direct competition for a place in the premier league
  6. Was his exit not a bit sour? They practically forced him out the door if I remember correctly. Can see him going abroad if he goes the Premier League I could see Brighton being the team taking him
  7. Think he is being played in the wrong position and should be deeper. Also believe he would look far better with more intelligent players around him, he can see a pass better than anyone we have and no coincidence his best form came when Brererton was in full flow and making runs a player like Buckley thrives off. Will say he needs to improve the mental side of his game and take it upon himself to get more involved in games.Personally don't think he will go lower but if he wants to play at higher level than Championship then he does need to start influencing games more. He has never been a goal scoring threat even at under age level. It isn't his game doesn't mean he doesn't have the talent to play at a higher level. Like to see him after spending time with a better manager and coaching staff.
  8. The owners are shit anyone with any sense agrees with that statement. But it wasn't only Gallagher and Brererton.Add Arma that is a 15 million outlay alone. Loans cost money too. Ayala and Johnson given decent deals ,both players on more money than our highest earners at their previous club.Players who have added nothing really. He also gave new deals to Mulgrew, Bennett, Evans etc when they weren't the standard required. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and although I probably agree with you regarding Rothwell up to that point he had been one of our players of the season and most the fan base would have been up in arms selling him to a direct rival at the time in Bournemouth and the owners would have been criticized for selling him if our season had fallen away like it has. He has had enough money to have built something better.
  9. This season definitely not. Last season arguable but still brought 12 players through the door with no crowds in the stadium. Backed in league one.And given 15 million to spend on 3 attackers in the space of 12 months is certainly being backed.Add all the other players he has brought in in that time.Loans still cost. Over his time here he has been backed.Backed more than a lot of other managers in this division. And Ffp had to be taken into consideration
  10. Why isn't the person who was given this answer asking what's the excuse for the performances away from home?He can't hide behind any atmosphere there. It's everybody's fault but Tony's.Take a bit of responsibility for Christ sake
  11. If no prospect of a new deal then surely he walks tonight. More likely it will be more excuses and a new deal signed in the summer. Depressing
  12. Swansea with a game in hand on us aswell
  13. 5 at the back again its not been working for weeks ffs. Mowbray out
  14. I didn't didn't mean he has put in an alternative most of the time? I said when an alternative has been available like Bennett and Rankin Costello then he has given them a go at RB for no logical reason when Nyambe has been competent .Nyambe got back in because both proved sub standard How many times does he get subbed?I'd say a lot more than other first choice right backs at other clubs.
  15. We are led to believe that contract offers have been on the table for Lenihen, Nyambe and Rothwell since at least last summer long before this reported offer for Mowbray from West Brom so find it hard to believe their reluctance to sign new deals has anything to do with what Mowbray/Venus might have said in terms of getting them deals at their new club. Anyway imo I don't think Mowbray particularly rates Nyambe as although he has played a lot of games as first choice under him, when there has been on alternative he has put them in ahead of Nyambe most times for no reason, wether it be Bennett ,Rankin Costello or whoever then when they played shit he had no choice to put Nyambe back in.Even at the weekend when Edun was sent off the logical choice would have been to take off one of Lenihen, Van Hecke or Wharton off and keep the natural right back on the field.
  16. They have to cash in to be fair.Be ridiculous if they let him go for nothing. Just hope this time some of the money is reinvested into the squad
  17. At the time I thought Lambert was a quality appointment. But since then he has failed in every job he has had and is currently unemployed so it's a stretch to believe he would have got us promotion or playoffs. Lambert had a very good spell at Norwich and did ok initially at Villa his managerial career since can only be described as poor
  18. Is Venus going with him?
  19. He needs to drop one of Lenihen, van Hecke or Wharton and play 4 at the back with NYAMBE at RB. If he does go 4 at the back I would put my house on Nyambe being on the bench with Lenihen at RB. You are a burden Tony!
  20. We are 2 points outside the playoffs. The season is not over yet .
  21. Nixon saying they want Big Sam
  22. He is being brought in for the development squad.18 year old.Its not for the first team. We have a couple of others on trial
