  1. England 264-6, lead by 342. Wait! As I type Brook out for 87! So 264 for 7 and Brook out last ball before tea. England scored at 7.5 runs per over in that session.
  2. There was that game at Ewood where he beat us on his own and made Matt Woods look a donkey. So a fantastic performance that day no question.
  3. Look at the Riverside eh?
  4. Best player I've seen at Ewood---Bryan Douglas! Hundreds of times!
  5. He played really well for us but I'll say no more.
  6. You are right in all respects! Still a winner in the Premier League at 37! Kenny wanted him to stay but his knees were killing him. Couldn't even train between games but, come Saturday, no-one you'd sooner have at he heart of defence. My all-time hero, the best signing we ever made.
  7. Chaddy has everything he needs in Accrington thanks!
  8. Well apparently not! Martin Tyler seemed really surprised the off-side wasn't given. It looked offside live but the margins are so fine I suppose.
  9. What a game! Incredibly 3-3! 2 quick goals from Cameroon. 2nd goal probably fractionally off-side but how could Serbia leave the centre of their defence wide open twice in a few minutes when 2 goals ahead? Loving this one.
  10. All great theatre for the mass media. That bit was like something from professional wrestling and Rattin became public enemy No 1 (for a few weeks!). We thought it was hilarious at the time.
  11. I was at that game. Good motivational stuff from Sir Alf, the Argentinians weren't really as bad as legend has it!!
  12. Yes--he won't be found out in the Group Stage but he will later on!
  13. Exciting game, Wales living dangerously!
  14. If passing back and forth across the back-line was included as dead time, we'd never get home!
  15. Enjoying Switzerland/Cameroons game even though nil-nil at half-time. One great thing is the the ref isn't being conned into giving petty free-kicks. No stop-start. Quite a change from the Premier League!
  16. He really is a bellend then because they won't!.
  17. I read $150 M (US) Jim.
  18. Surely we must have people who can get the best out of him? I agree he has the talent.
  19. We aren't afraid to go long when we have to and we don't really overplay and take unnecessary risks. I'm assuming Arbitro thinks we could learn from this as well!
  20. Yes! Odd that he wasn't picked! (I may've said that before!)
  21. Minimal possession and a long ball to Brereton is our style isn't it? At least it is when we win. And I like it!
  22. After 3 days of "reflection" it doesn't get any better does it? I'll never smile again!
  23. His job is also not to lose them.
  24. And there is no sign of recognition ,accountability, acceptance or responsibility. Constant references to "young players" is classic deflection--its the players fault because they are not old enough! If they are not old enough, well pick someone else or change the tactics. But then that brings up Ayala---a consistent theme on here that, when fit, he was the best centre-back in the Championship. But no-one's saying that anymore--he like several others, is paying the price for a stubborn manager who refuses to play to his players" strengths but instead insists on a style they are not adapting to. Stubborn manager, players out of position, poor selections, and no responsibility---now where have we come across that before?!! The least he owed the fans on Sunday was an apology---"its not the players fault,I got it wrong" would have done. Instead he went on about the fact we've got a long break now due to the World Cup and its "back to the training ground". In other words, a longer opportunity to inculcate his players to a system which doesn't work! This could all fall apart quickly, we were a disgrace on Sunday.
