  1. The Trust has to take its fair share of the blame for what we've been through for reasons we've gone over many times. Not least their willingness to sell what Jack had built up to anyone who'd pay whatever their motivation or suitability. However, before Venkys took over we were a stable EPL club with no reason at all to think we couldn't stay there.
  2. So ,Waggot can do what he likes?
  3. I agree that is a major issue, particularly if you don't live in or near Blackburn. Its been an issue though for many years, ever since Sky won the broadcast rights. My cousin, born Shadsworth, went to QEGS, became a Southampton supporter when he moved south in the early 70's (yes I know!) One game, he arrived with his daughter at the ground to be met by people streaming out! The game had been moved at the last minute and he didn't know! He didn't renew--"last straw" was his comment.
  4. We have a superb record at Ewood this season (thank God) and a pretty poor away one. The size of the crowd or the noise it makes doesn't seem to have been a problem.
  5. 4 players from the Academy started the game at Huddersfield, and 3 were on the subs bench. Not bad!
  6. I'd go Brittain for JRC, JRC for Morton. I would rest Diaz with a view to bringing him on if Leonard isn't cutting it. Ben is putting 100% effort in as always but its without the ball. Its a while since he produced.
  7. We would be slaughtered I'm afraid. We would attack alright but there would be massive gaps at the back. You've only got 5 defensive players on the field and one of those is Morton who doesn't offer enough defensively. We'd be picked off.
  8. You'll have to google that!
  9. Well who should start above him? Is there anybody capable of scoring from that central position.
  10. Living in the past there. Currently he's our best player----by a mile.
  11. What's truly remarkable yesterday was that he was the most dangerous player on the pitch. Could have scored 3. Yet he was playing right-back!
  12. Somebody a few years ago did a count on how long the ball was actually in play. It was astoundingly low, something around just over half the game!. Fans pay for 90 mins, its a rip-off.
  13. Looking to be a very big game indeed. Who'd have thought?
  14. Soo we'll have a Premier League consisting entirely of Liverpool, the Manchester clubs and the London commuter belt. Oh and the Middle East State-owned Newcastle. Perhaps Villa. Sickening.
  15. I wouldn't have said that about Vernon or Osgood. Surprised by that.
  16. Couldn't be dispossessed in some very tight situations. Didn't set the world on fire but played his role. Natural player to replace. Buckley.
  17. He didn't lack confidence---had quite a bit to say to other players and the ref! I like it!
  18. Brereton last season?
  19. They are however investing £100M in a new stadium. Shovel work expected to start before the end of the year.
  20. It happened at Ewood once too. Ref blew for half-time and they trooped off. Fans mystified, 5 mins later both teams reappeared for the final few minutes of the half. 1960's, can't remember team or date. Parson?
  21. Absolutely agree with everyone who says play JRC in midfield with Brittain behind him.
  22. Forget to stop the clock or forget to restart it!
  23. Shouldn't be in the hands of the ref. An official away from the pitch should stop the clock when play stops and start it agin once its in play. He/she should signal full-time to the ref who then blows his whistle. Refs have enough to think about. Anyway, let's hope the there's impetus from such a dramatic game and we make it. Well done for that 2nd half Rovers. 81% possession should count for something!
  24. Does it really matter? We're staying in this division aren't we? I really haven't the incentive to think of the rest of the games. Its all gone.
