I certainly wasn't confining my speculation to Mowbray! However, getting into a debate about who is or isn't "a real fan" is a waste of time. If we "somehow" got into a play-off semi final wouldn't you want thousands of extra fans to cheer them on? Couldn't you predict at least some of them might come back? There is so much more choice for people to spend their money on now. In the 50's people rushed home from work, scrambled out of their work clothes, gobbled dinner down and got the bus to Ewood.Other than the flicks or Mecca there wasn't much else. Not true anymore. Clubs have to work hard to attract fans and retain them. Since Venkys turned up, all the club has seemed to do is alienate them and we've lost thousands and are still losing them. Bolton and Blackpool have shown you can turn it around but it will never happen with Venkys , Maggot and Mogadon.

Sad for you---if only you could have been raised on Duggie! A more sublime childhood is impossible to imagine!

The only way we'll know is if the club is run well and everyone is seen to be pulling together. There are actual fans who attend, supporters who would if the product was worth buying in their opinion and "latent" fans who would be tempted by an enjoyable experience. What would be the number of fans we'd "allocate" to Bolton or Blackpool? If the question popped up a while ago we wouldn't have said near 25000 but now? It all depends on circumstances. I agree with Gav on this one. There are many Rovers fans waiting for someone with a clue to "tap them". If Bolton and Blackpool can do it so can we---always, of course, with the right leadership.

I've got to the stage where I"d sooner have a different rubbish manager than the one who's been here so long. So get rid!

500 pages!

Not so sure about that.....

Pity we have to put up with him for the rest of the season though. Sadly "unsure' isn't enough.

Ordered 2 copies. Awaiting delivery!

Ainsworth seems a popular choice. Has the passion and commitment which we've been missing for so long.

That would be me finished.

....and rising!!

LT readers will always have their TM supporters but even fans on the forum are turning or coming out of the woodwork!

11th now, soon be 15th and so on. Back to our "natural position" with this bloke in charge. Bright start almost forgotten. Please Venkys--wake up.

In a bit of strife then are we not? You are trying to paint it as nothing to worry about. For my part I'm very worried. What was this long journey of Mowbray's about then? Why did he persuade the owners not to spend money early on when they wanted to but to buy into to his gradual approach? That's not me being speculative---its out of his own mouth!

What research I've done shows we are are having great difficulty keeping our best players.

They seem pretty unanimous about it? No rush to re-sign is there?

Its looking like everything we ever feared is coming to a climax. We can't (apparently) afford the wages of even reasonable Championship players anymore and we will lose the best ones as their contracts run down. The predators are circling. Moreover, we can't rely on transfers out to buy decent replacements because we let their contracts run down! But the owners won't go! And the inept staff remain! Ergo, nothing can be resolved. All we have to look forward to is further shrinking of the fan base and a perpetual decline in the standard of the playing squad and relegation. The situation is a scandal and its utterly demoralising to be a Rovers fan right now.

Balaji---a gambler. Nothing better to do with his millions. Not a football decision.

Social media has to get into someone, that's the nature of the beast. That's why I avoid it apart from this site! He wasn't booed at games by Rovers fans and he wasn't hated. We were astonished, saddened and embarrassed but we all wanted him to do well. Now, at last he is, but whether Chile or Rovers are responsible is a moot point.
