  1. TBF, the players suffer from poor management. The team changes every game---supposedly to counter the strengths of the other side. Players are regularly forced to play in not their natural position. He makes several subs a game, seemingly at random with little relation to how the game is going. No player can flourish in this environment and they haven't.
  2. To quote Ted---"for the love of Jesus,Mary and the wee donkey"
  3. but wisely rejected it! 😢
  4. He could build up our defence?
  5. I'd assume that no new investor could possibly be as thick as what we've got. But you never know I suppose!
  6. and never got out of Div 1.
  7. "Life is a journey. When we stop things don't go right".( Pope Francis.) Unfortunately this means Tony's journey will never end till he does.
  8. Could that be good news at last or am I just totally naive? Could this be our saviour or just another idiot?
  9. I don't need to imagine---I was there!
  10. Thanks for sharing that, really enjoyed the Duffer goal, what a stunner! Speaking of stunners though, that's not the game I've been talking about! August 22nd(I think) 2002, we won 1-0 with a Duffer goal! Surely somebody else on here went to that game? Parsons?
  11. Interesting ---because we can't blame Venkys for that can we?
  12. We won the one I went to. I distinctly remember a black lad dropping his trousers and bending over as our coach went past him! It wasn't a celebration!! (just looked it up, August 2002----we won 1-0!)
  13. Nastiest fans in football in my personal experience.
  14. Anyone else remember the away game v Big Club in the early noughties I think, a poor game which we won 1-0 with Duff scoring the only goal (?) Anyway, the notable feature of the game appeared just before the kick-off when Dunny escorted his dolly bird along the side of the pitch and plonked her down among the Rovers supporters behind the goal! Lots of ribaldry of course which she took in great strides with a beaming smile! She was a Sun page 3 girl at the time. seemed odd she wasn't in a hospitality suite or something but we appreciated it!
  15. I think we should play our best team but unfortunately Mowbray needs a few more years to find out what that is!
  16. We've been down that road and had good crowds with it. However we were in the Premiership! The current regime seems to prefer the highest prices it can get for watching the worst football in living memory.
  17. That depends largely on Armstrong as well. 😨
  18. Is that a bit of snow to the left of the picture? The game was postponed and played at night the following Tuesday or Wednesday. I remember it as being as cold as I've ever been at Ewood Park.
  19. Or kidnap him and force him to sign!
  20. If we were to win that game though you'd be attacked by Mowbray's acolytes!
  21. Yeah--what about Barnsley? Didn't wait their turn, gone all out for top 6 in one season! Bloody cheek of it.
  22. Who wants him advising on who should stay either?
