  1. If you had read it properly you would have seen I was making a hypothethsis--that's different than a fantasy. If I was fantasising it wouldn't involve Carter!
  2. Because I've learned by experience!! You don't think Venkys/Mowbray/Waggot decision-making should not be looked at with pessimism? Where have you been? Its not as if clear examples aren't staring you in the face---Raya,Nyambe,Rothwell---all handled badly by Mowbray--1 gone, 2 to go. Carter looks a good prospect---if he's treated as badly as others have been, its hardly projecting wildly to think he'll be off.
  3. I'm on board with the youth policy but its imposed on us by necessity rather than being part of a plan. But its the "let them develop into good players and then let their contracts wind down" bit I don't get!
  4. Next step----Carter wants a move. Mowbray is strangling the life out of this club
  5. He has lost it and should go.
  6. Their keeper was so terrified of Samba he dropped the ball on his head for our first! That made it 1-1 and we had never looked like scoring at any point! Absolutely glorious. Boring my arse! Laughed out loud for days after!
  7. Well you might remember that, I honestly don't. On the other hand you could be making it up.
  8. Boring and losing. I'm quite happy with a statement that some of the worst football in 50 years came under Coyle and Mowbray. Terrible managers but at least Mowbray had money to spend (which by and large he didn't do well)
  9. It shouldn't be about Coyle at all. Mowbray had better players than Coyle but couldn't prevent us playing some of the worst football in the last 50 years. That was the original statement and it's true!
  10. If you're arguing that Mowbray is a better manager than Coyle, you won't get any argument from me. Its not much of a compliment is it? No-one is arguing about this anyway.
  11. 3 games and 2 of those against 10 men does not a summer make. I'll leave it there, we are not going agree. Much and I emphasise "much" of the football last season was as bad as I have ever seen.
  12. Why highlight 3 games when we won only 2 of 17 in that same season? Selective nonsense.
  13. Rev never said that, what he did say I entirely agree with.---last 3 years have seen some of the worst football he's seen in 50 years. Who could argue wth that? Who has expected "immediate results"? No-one I know. In any case he's has 4 and a half years and been well backed in the transfer market. Agree the owners are chiefly to blame and one of the things they're to blame with is appointing a succession of lousy managers and executives---Singh, Waggot,Kean, Coyle and Mowbray. Rev can speak for himself but personally I can't see what you are so hyped up about.
  14. That is what passes for ambition at Ewood these days. Realistic but dismal and deadening. Hardly likely to win over new fans or get old ones back.
  15. But we do know that this number of players running out of contract is unprecedented for us. We do know that every year we are going backwards.
  16. How can you build a side over time if you can't even afford the wages of the ones you've collected? Bizarre. "Bleak contract outlook"! BLEAK OUTLOOK FULL STOP. Pleasington here we come.
  17. Kaminsky? Dropped a clanger with Raya though.
  18. We'll see if he gets the opportunity!
  19. I liked "Duke" or most of it but gave up on them after that.
  20. He played his part in the first goal. He's not looking out of place yet.
  21. Early Genesis! Still my most played music!
  22. Cm'n guys, Lenihan isn't exactly the biggest of our worries is he? He's capable enough at this level. Picks up too many yellows but one of our few leaders. Good partnership between him Ayala.
