In Indian style, the owners probably tell him what they think he wishes to hear and then go away and forget about it. Every person I know who's been to India comments on that aspect of their culture.
-
i agree with that and I've actually said it earlier this season. I have doubts about his ability at the highest level but he deserves the chance to try. But we really have to get going again or we'll finish near the bottom. That would be hard to forgive.
-
Let's hope his children don't want to progress to their doctorates!
-
Yes that's all Sam did!
-
He should have added "and are good enough".
-
I predicted 14 th at the start of the season too. But as the season went on and we did better than expected I raised my horizons. That's what TM should have done. Now, I'm disappointed. It could have been so much better. We have lost the momentum and excitement created by last season. A real shame.

I can't imagine Hughes settling for consolidation either!
-
Our losing streak hasn't finished yet.
-
For God's sake, we've just lost 3 in a row!
-
TM a better manager than Allardyce? In your dreams! Sam could set up a defence for a start.
-
I don't know how you arrive at that figure but if you're trying to show the fee for Brereton was reasonable----forget it!
-
Except Grabbi was playing in the Premiership and playing better than Brereton.
-
The trouble is that we are all prisoners of Venkys. We all know what we need but our experience with the confused ones is that's not what we are likely to get. Its highly likely that TM will be here long after we've all given up on him.
-
Especially if we pick a side like that v Reading.
-
What about those who could have started and didn't? Like Reed and Rothwell?
-
Who we sign is obviously very important but its who we select that is worrying me more. That starting line-up had LOSS written all over it and I did not require any degree of hindsight to reach that conclusion. That view was common on here before the game started and I repeat "if we can see it why can't TM? If it was Kean we'd be asking questions.
-
What sickens me is the starting line-up. There was an overwhelmingly negative response to it on here and we were absolutely right! I just don't get what TM is playing at. We can see that wouldn't work, why couldn't he? Are we going to use the rest of the season as an experiment in the belief that we can't go down? What possible incentive is there for fans to turn up?
-
He said before the game that this season was all about consolidating our place in the Championship. Shocking lack of ambition. If your team has a chance of promotion surely you go for it?
-
Expecting Preston to go above us tonight.
-
Be a bloody miracle if we get out of this without heavy defeat No Reed Linehan Dack Graham Nyambe or Rothwell! He's a genius if we win this one!
-
as in "put it on a plate for them"!
-
Don't remember that Den but we can settle on "committed"! What always surprised me was that he had the speed when he needed it. To look at him you wondered where it came from!

2 very good points there. A special offer now when there is nothing to play for. Would make sense if we had strengthened the squad and were genuine play-off contenders. Secondly, in the past the club has referred to not wanting to offend existing season-ticket holders by making offers to non-season ticket holders. Never understood such a curmudgeonly attitude personally. Fill the ground and get the team going.

And he was a real star . A genuine get, you off the seat centre-forward who was the best in the country when he went to Everton. Watched his transition from left-back to striker with utter amazement. He just didn't seem right for the position, not agile enough, too "bulky". I soon found out I was wrong though. Along with the others he gave me among the best moments of my life. Left the best defenders in Div 1 trailing in his wake. Very sad news.

Venkys could pay his airfare for a start!
